Agreed he did say thia at first because of the shortage of masks for overwhelmed medical professionals, and the fact they were still learning about the virus. As they learned more about it, and how it was transmitted, and that cloth masks could work, then he changed his advice to everyone wearing masks. This is what scientists do, they follow the evidence. That sometimes means changing your advice. It is disingenuous to portray this any other way.
What, the "scientists" didn't know how viruses spread among the humans? The first rule, btw, is: if you're unsure about the method of transmission, you assume the airborne transmission. That means masks and goggles, travel stop and quarantine. To say that they didn't know is true, partially. What is entirely false is the notion that it was the "evolving" knowledge that led us to masks. Bullshit.

Assuming he survives, the question is what will be the after effects? They range from nothing to heart, brain, and/or lung damage.

Probably not. Fauci is an expert in how diseases spread, not treatment.
False read his bio. During his carrer his research has lead to world renowned treatment of established disease and virus.

Heart and brain has been damaged for a while. Hopefully, his lungs will remain in tact.
He had mini strokes in November and the dementia his father suffered from is clearly starting in.
But yeah, he sure can yell a lot, so his lungs were working fine before he got sick.

Agreed but do you expect politicians to know exactly what they should do very early on when their own medical experts are still trying to figure things out?

Do you really think the WHO should have said nothing until they understood everything about the virus, its transmission and treatment?
Do you think that they shouldn't prescribe to the best of their knowledge or change those recommendations based on new knowledge?

Based on what the WHO was saying early on, which was very little and misleading to begin with, you appear to hold politicians to a higher standard as far making medical decisions during the same time period.

Asian countries experienced with China's devious ways completely disregarded the WHO, since they knew it had been bought by the Chinese. South Korea simply implemented those measures proven to be effective against SARS, another Chinese export.

I trust the WHO to do the best they can with the information they have.
Trudeau and even Ford, did good jobs spreading solid information, as did Cuomo.
Trump was the single biggest source of disinformation on the planet.

The guy you get your ideas from.

Yes, America's Dictator-in-Chief got that info on a direct autocrat-to-autocrat call with his fellow dictator in China in addition to his own Intel. agencies.

When was the last time Fauci said that? March?
