I haven’t gone to a MP since mid-August, but do meet up with MPAs (friends) .

I believe the MPs will be closing their doors, like strip clubs. What do you think ?

My guess would be no. MP's don't gather people all together in a public area. It's much closer to a legit day spa or a dentist/doctor's office.
In an MP setting, implementing measures to sanitize, at least to show an auditor, is much easier.
But we'll have to wait and see.

With 500+ new cases today Stage 2 will be back very soon.
Doubt that very much! Unless the government has evidence that the intensive care units will be overflowing with COVID-19 patients Doug Ford will have a revolt on his hands. The economy will be absolutely devastated!

So we wait until things get even worse or take a month or so of pain?

I was so tempted to go these past few weeks, even today. But I stay away as I can't take the risk. Shit! 491 positive cases today!
Do MPAs get checked for the coronavirus weekly or bi-weekly?
Do visitors self-isolated after MP visit? Or do visitors get checked after MP visit?

Because of a terrible initial response, we're in this precarious situation bright now. As mentioned above, another lockdown is unlikely as the already weakened economy will be devastated. Hospitals are nowhere near capacity and even though cases are increasing, the number of severe cases requiring hospitalization are fewer. For those of us working from home a lockdown is an inconvenience but for millions, another lockdown may destroy their lives. The government has a tough balancing act to do but they only have themselves to blame.

None of my MPA friends have been tested since going back in June. The majority of clients neither self isolate nor get tested after visiting the spa.

Actually I say the people have alot of the blame as well. I tried, with low success, to organize those doing nothing during the early parts of the pandemic to improve our lot (blood and PPE drives and the like), and was suprised how many people were content to let the gov. do everything. Give me Netflix and there be content to sit on there asses for years.

Unfortunately the way our government is handling things a second lockdown is not impossible even though like few have said it would really be devestating to the economy.
The government had all summer to figure out how to reopen schools and they had such a poorly designed plan and pushed opening day a week late. They should never had offered option of in person and online. That was such a stupid move.
Also the government is currently penalizing the businesses who have been struggling because of the virus and that's not right as the restaurants for the most part have been abiding to the rules and are providing a safe environment for people to get together.
For the most part it wasn't because of businesses reopening that cases have increaded. Virus is spreading because people collectively don't care anymore and going back to normal life. There are way too many house parties in the past few weeks and in general people are not as confined to their houses anymore.
We've had restaurants open back in July and there weren't much issues and our numbers were hovering around 100 cases and not inceasing. And then number of weddings and other private indoor gatherings increased and the cases went up.
Also when government shortens hours of operation for businesses it tends to cram people into those hours so instead of spacing people out and about throughout the day you are forcing them all to be out during a smaller window of time. Again not a smart move.

The freaking problem, IMO, is those who show no symptoms but walk around freely and spread the virus to the more vulnerable.

Exactly. And I would add shortening the hours of operation doesn’t really do any justice. Those people who are already out at those bars and restaurants are going to want to continue partying and then end up at house parties anyway.

Actually Canada has done an excellent job in response to the virus and in comparison to the very high majority of other advanced western nations who had shutdowns.
In cases/Mln Canada is ranked 85th with 4,000+/Mln, which is a lot better than our neighbours down south the USA at 12th in cases with 22,000+/Mln, and slightly behind Germany in cases at 97th with 3,400+/Mln.

As well more than likely the numbers of deaths reported currently in Canada due to COVID-19 will be accounted for in the excess deaths, unlike many nations who are either lacking the infrastructure to report the numbers properly or have a political agenda in supressing the actual numbers. So we will not see any siginificant difference if any in the numbers of COVID-19 deaths and the unaccounted excess deaths unlike so many countries.

Unfortunately the issue we have is that a very small percentage of people do not understand the virus, or are lacking empathy, they do not care about the health of others and are only out there for their own selfish wants and gains.
You know like the posters that were orignally and ignorantly parroting that shutdowns will devastate our economy, meanwhile willfully ignoring that not shutting down will be worse. ;)
