Many, should I say, most of the problems we see to-day were caused by misguided Democratic/liberal policies.

Dems/liberals created the ghettos (welfare).

Dems/liberals created the single parent families ("no man in the house rule").

Dems/liberals "War on Poverty" has been an unmitigated disaster.
The cop who killed the guy also killed 2 other people in the past and has about 20 complaints against him for police brutality. They did not charge him until the protests happened. I am not sure how you avoid blaming the obvious and instead ...liberals...bad...liberals...bad.

You're oversimplifying. The Urban Democratic Mayors need the Police Union and vice versa. The Republicans have little engagement between these two parties.

Any Political party that's "needs" to protect a group so they can commit crimes isn't fit to govern.

And yes that does cover both parties.

They have the right to kneel.
And NFL fans have the right to exercise their free speech and tell them they are UnAmerican
You beat me to it. NFL fans were not persuaded by millionaire football players protesting. That's their prerogative in a democracy. Certainly, there was a better way for NFL players to voice their concerns than at the beginning of a game during the national anthem. Know your audience! First rule of both politics and entertainment.

Besides the sight of millionaires kneeling during the national anthem, I do believe the owners and the union passed down the message "you're killing the golden goose." That's how the world works.

I've said many times Democracy is messy. You have to persuade not browbeat.

I think you are missing the point that Democrats are a more complex coalition of interests. I think you are a bit idealistic about politics (no offense). Perhaps, you have come to realize that the riots are going to hurt Democrats in November. That's not exactly what I want, but that's the reality.

Lol. Again. If they had to look the other way to systemic police violence for an endorsement in a Democratic run state like Minnesota then who the hell are they serving exactly?

I'm not naive. I'm perfectly aware of the real coalition that now runs the Democratic Party.

And yes I hope the riots hurt both parties. Big time. I hope it hurts their small dollar donor numbers, their grassroots support, their volunteer numbers.

I hope we see some primaried out for agitators, some down ballot lose to independent at the state level.

And other bow to the pressure. Because when it was peaceful they didn't listen. And never do.

Doesn't that mean the anarchist are armed as well? In fact wasn't the 2nd Amendment to ensure citizens could defend themselves against the Government? What a fucked-up place America is .
This is correct. You'll have to excuse my boy, smallcock, for once again not thinking before posting.

On the Michigan covid protests, people told us that carrying guns at protests was just an expression of freedom.

Maybe they think that since the Constitution only recognized white men when the 2nd was written, it only applies to white men.

It has, in my opinion, reached a point where people no longer have hope. Or faith in the govt. And it's a lot of people who feel this way.

So I'm not surprised. And if the authorities continue to escalate against the peaceful protests (and the police did. They lumped the rioters in with the peaceful demonstrators and hurt them) then coupled with hopelessness defense and violence will follow.

If police shot at me on my front porch, beat me with batons, pepper sprayed me, ran me over with an SUV when I was out decrying police brutality, while my govt gave trillions to large corporations and left my community high and dry.......

If I was in the USA I would seriously have to consider my options.
And you say you're a supporter of peacenik Bernie? I think the Michigan Militia are more your speed.

But when it's the other way around, alt-right are being silenced and censored by people who disagree with them.

I'm a Supporter of policy change. Sanders was a torchbearer.

He isn't the fuel or the fire.

The question now is do the powers realize this may be a greater shift? If they do then they can head off what could be a very bad time. If not.......

As if the GOP aren't a complex coalition. Enacting corporate interests and polices that favour the rich while pandering to the working poor is a pretty complex mix too.

I recall something about the Russian revolution, moderate revolutionaries overthrown by violent extremists. Your plan is to let Bernie do the heavy lifting then you and your militia clean up the pieces?

I had hoped Sanders would be able to get there to start a change in thinking. But the powerful are going to fight this to the end.

It's them that engages in the systemic violence that started this. And in the economic looting that is fueling it.

They just don't like that it isn't being done purely in boardrooms.
