speaking of nyc, there's a video of a police car trying to drive past an angry mob. I think the police inside the vehicle feared for their life as they were surrounded. That was one motherf----g angry mob.

CNN just showed all the publicly available videos of the incident. There's a gap between the time when GF is inside the police car and when he is lying on the ground.

What happened during that interval?

Again I must ask. What on earth do you need to see that would justify what you saw on the snuff film of 10 minutes?

Who watched THAT in it's entirely and didn't have their stomach turn or cry? Who? You're reaction was "meh" ?

If there was a defence/justification, you'd have heard it by now.

According to Fox News, during that interval, George Floyd brandished a machete, a machine gun and a half dozen hand grenades he threatened the cops with.

It's actually a simple question. Does anyone know what happened in the interval between GF sitting in the car and then lying on the ground? Just trying to get the facts. If emotions are running too high, please don't respond.

I'll defer to the lawyer(s) on the Board but I think what the police chief just said on CNN might have prejudiced the case. I think a golden rule in court proceedings is to speak only through your lawyer(s)/legal counsel. The police chief was speaking on live national TV without legal counsel.

There are so many videos and so much loose talk out there that the jury pool is hopelessly compromised in the U.S. They will have to hold the trial in Guam.

Meanwhile, the 4 subject officers have uttered not a word, most likely under strict orders from their defense counsel.

Simple as this:

If you saw nothing wrong with Derek Chauvin squeezing his knee into George Floyd's neck, feel free to list your name below:

1.________

2.________

3.________

I'm shocked a Fox News story would mention Antifa and "foreign actors" contributing to this mess and not mention at all white supremacist groups.

This isn't like you, Char.
I think black block types give the establishment what they want, Chris Hedges says they are a gift to them. There are "agent provocateurs" that work for the police that do the same things as well though. The whole Soros conspiracy here is ridiculous though.

Cops were wrong . Plain and simple. The one cop that chocked him to death, had a look on his face as if he was enjoying this. and he had complaints before of Police Brutality. Come on here. The man is dead. All the police men that were there should have put a stop to this. Others on the street were trying to tell the cops and they would not listen. Now look at the problems with riots in the streets. Now that is wrong too. But this is a mess over there. I used to go to the US for business many times. I will stay away for a long time now. Boarders are closed anyway, but I would rather conference call now.
What a terrible thing.

Would you be "shocked" by the local Minneapolis paper reporting on the same news item?

You're likely not aware of Minnesota's Presidential election voting record but let's just say it's been a long time since they voted Red

Why is it almost always the case that when a black man is shot by police it is always during or shortly after breaking the law? Maybe consider the potential risks, and don't break the law if its been proven time after time that authorities can't be trusted.
Simple pattern recognition would greatly reduce the amount of deaths.

There's no doubt, that so many people are being idiots by turning a blind eye to this. Not one fucking person has said "by the way, you know he was committing a crime right? and highly doubt this just happened to be the first time.

Having that said, police need to be accountable for their use of force. In this case, for this type of crime, it way over the top resulting in murder. I mentioned in another thread, part of the problem with the U.S is it's not that hard to become a police officer, so out of this big pool of people they hire, naturally you'll have some that aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer thinking it's the wild west. Just like our very own James Forcillo.

How about the black guy who was shot by Minne cops just for being in his car w his gf and 5 year old daughter?

How about the Aussie woman who was shot by Minne cops just for coming up and tapping on the cruiser?

Training and competence on the Minne police ain't all that.

Betcha I could find a dozen more examples.
