It’s now almost 2 months that this virus has been the centre of our attention. We’ve been closed since March 18 and we’re now at a point that businesses are starting to receive the go ahead to re-open, but with new rules to minimize the risk of transmission.
I'll start by admitting I've never done the whole "escort" thing before. I only decided to look into it to expand my options out of fear the strip clubs won't survive the pandemic, or they won't offer lap dances. Which I can't accept (I mean, if all I want to do is look at a naked woman, I can just fire up Google).
I might be weird in this but I primarily sought out the strippers to hug and cuddle with them while they're nude. So that would be a base service I'd expect out of an escort service.
As for solutions...well, I'm pretty clear about what I
don't want. I won't wear gloves and I won't wear a hazmat suit. I'll wear a mask. I'll wear a condom. I'll accept not being able to kiss the escort (although I grant this is also up to the escort's personal preferences).
...but, if I can't get that skin-to-skin intimacy, I'm not doing it.
Sorry, I gotta be frank on that part.
So, though my vote is but a solitary one, keep that in mind.
As for what other solutions there are...well, I have my own thoughts on the risks of COVID-19 and though I don't buy the conspiracy theories and usually defer to the people actually studying the disease because they know far more about it than I do, there are parts of me that think things are being overblown and there's lots of stuff we're not being told about it. So I don't worry so much about the actual disease itself...but that's just me. I'm not running a business that serves the public.
I think at a
base level, none of the women should be forced to work. I also think whom the women see should be recorded and that every client provides some kind of legitimate contact method so that if something happens, they can be told about it. It doesn't have to be a cell phone number- it can be an E-Mail address, as long as it's active and checked regularly. I personally have an E-Mail address I use specifically when I don't feel like giving out my main one (like signing up for mailing lists). I know there's the issue of discreetness, but I think the global pandemic changes things, at least a little. Plus, contract tracers should keep your identity a secret.
Aside from that and keeping up high standards for cleanliness...apart from having your own COVID-19 test (which are being developed), there's not much I can think of. Only thing I will say is that, regarding temperature checks, not only do I understand they're not reliable I also worry about "false positives", especially in the summer months. If the temperature balloons to 37 or 40C and someone spent the entire day outside, their body heat will also rise (I know I've had my fair share of headaches being out in the heat) so I fear a temperature check may incorrectly flag the person as symptomatic of COVID-19 when they're not.
