Most of all, because nobody is adhering to it.You haven't explained why it is useless.
Also, any decent version of the metric would be using a rolling average.
It is like conducting an election poll but the sample size is tiny and only in a Liberal dominated riding. The problem I have with this 14 day drop metric is that there is insufficient and inconsistent sampling quantity and methodology.
After all this time, Ontario hasn`t even tested 3% of the population.
The number of tests each day is very little and not the same day to day.
Plus it is not broad diverse randomized testing.
They are focusing of those most likely to be sick, of which there will be no shortage any time soon.
Not gonna watch a video with that thumbnail, but why would you put a luciferase in a vaccine? I can see you using one in testing, but it seems it would be kind of useless in a vaccine. You don't need anything to glow.would you take a vaccine that have a chemical called "luciferase"?
Right. I agree. They cant use that metric until they are doing good testing. Like people have been saying from the start, the only way you handle this is test and trace (and treat and support). Most of all, because nobody is adhering to it.
At least, not Ontario or any of the US states that are opening up. I think there are 35 of them.

Totally useless.

Wow.
would you take a vaccine that have a chemical called "luciferase"?
If you were limited to ingesting anything that YOU didn't know the meaning of the word, you would not likely have lived this long.
Just because YOU don't know what something with a latin-derived name is or where it comes from means less than nothing.
FWIW, luciferase is a naturally occurring bioluminescent enyzme in things like fireflies and plankton.
The word is derived from the Latin word lucifer... light.
Not Lucifer the imaginary bogeyman that a lot of stupid people think hosts a party for whoremongers in the molten core of the earth!
But carry on.... don't let me get in your way of finding more big words you don't know the meaning or significance of. Like many other words like Antichrist that the second link to a religious nut cult website you posted.
I don't give a shit about chemical names, I want to know the efficacy and safety.would you take a vaccine that have a chemical called "luciferase"? ...
One thing to keep in mind about the number of tests, they have tested some people multiple times, they would include front line workers and those living in the LTCH's. I doubt 3% of the population has been tested. The problem I have with this 14 day drop metric is that there is insufficient and inconsistent sampling quantity and methodology.

With such limited and skewed data, I don`t see how it is possible to know if R<1, especially without comprehensive anti-body testing.
You & I are realists, I can't live in a bubble for the next year or so & everyone at our business appreciates a paycheck every week so will keep doing what were doing! Many escorts are still working. Just check leolist for the ones that don't mind being public. We have agencies gearing up to re-open: https://terb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?710597-The-challenges-of-re-opening-in-this-environment
Yet in the magical mythical world where the deluded live (that's you, doggystyle), we're somehow going to win the battle against the contagion by staying home and away from public parks.
Covid is going to run its natural course whether you like it or not. You're not in control of it. Nobody is.
Your said it in the second sentenceReset the 14 day counter back to 0 again.
This metric is essentially useless.
Ontario reports 477 new cases of COVID-19, the highest number in nearly a week
Ontario is reporting its highest number of new cases of COVID-19 in nearly a week, just as the province begins to lift some restrictions intended to limit the spread of the virus.
The Ministry of Health says that there were 477 new cases confirmed on Thursday as well as 63 more deaths in people who had contracted the virus.
The concern is that the uptick in new cases comes as the province begins to allow some retail stores to reopen. Garden centres were permitted to reopen this morning while hardware stores will be allowed to reopen as of Saturday morning. All other retail stores must remain closed but can open for curbside pickup as of Monday morning.
“Based on our framework, based on our robust health and safety guidelines, it is clear that right now there are certain businesses and workplaces that can operate safely,” Premier Doug Ford said last week. "That means they can physically distance their staff and customers, they can put in physical barriers, they can provide contact-free services, or they work outside and are isolated."
Excellent video, i'd be so pissed if a loved one passed from complications of not getting an elective surgery. Designate certain hospitals as covid centers, let the rest carry on business. Shame to see the misery this is causing the masses, no common sense in government
healthcare spending is down during a pandemic and hospitals are empty and losing money
Take a number now, your test date will be September 2022 lol, gotta love the planning in governmentOne thing to keep in mind about the number of tests, they have tested some people multiple times, they would include front line workers and those living in the LTCH's. I doubt 3% of the population has been tested.
With so few people have been tested I am stunned they can use testing as a requirement to reopen the economy. We as a Country lack the ability to test every single person in short order to get a true picture of the virus spread. With a population of 14 Million in Ontario at 15,000 tests a day it will take 934 days to test all of us.
We are opening up now. What I find fascinating is that the "open up now" crowd, when pressed, want the exact same thing the "do it right" crowd wants.
Proper space to treat people who are infected without impacting other people who need medical care. Extra care taken to prevent outbreaks in vulnerable populations. Reasonable risk management and response to flare ups and outbreaks.
Despite that, they seem to think those things will happen magically without any work. We just open up and all these systems magically drop into place.
It's very odd.
