This is why a lot of spas will probably reopen as soon as they can, in fact maybe even before they are supposed to. For example, Fitness Depot was open yesterday claiming they are a pool business because they sell hot tubs. Businesses are desperate to have customers again and the MA places are no different, especially with large spaces and massive overheads. Plus the girls are going to want to make money. Likely they will say "hey, if you want to work go ahead" and some girls will risk it to get income again. Some of the Spas may close if landlords do not cooperate on rent. Generally, a lot of landlords are refusing to take the 25% haircut on rent. I expect that we are going to see a lot of empty space in Ottawa.
From my perspective I find you have been on point with your thoughts through this pandemic. Being under 40 I can say that for myself I find that some energy, if you will, has shifted from the little head to the big head. I've been fortunate to not be financially affected by all this and so far this year I have been able to double up on my mortgage payments a couple times. Don't get me wrong, I'm dying to hobby again very soon but I've also been considering as to what capacity, or how often. I'm thinking for me I will likely scale it back a bit for a while as compared to before this pandemic and be more selective. Through the years I've shifted back and forth on the frequency to which I hobby and now feels like a good time to take a step back so I can continue to focus on finances.I think we are beginning a slow and continuously changing situation. It's already happening that more SPs are starting to see clients and restrictions in general are lifting a bit. In other countries this has caused an increase in infections. For example, I just noticed that in China restrictions are being tightened again. Given what is happening in Quebec with kids going back to school etc., I can't see how a dramatic increase in the spread of covid isn't in our near future. When that happens, then what? Do we all go back into extreme isolation? Unless a vaccine is created, we will be in this cycle for awhile I think.
Based on the statistics so far, the reality is that a high percentage of providers are in an age range where the risk of serious complications is quite low. I assume that a fairly significant proportion of clients however, fall into more high risk categories. I assume this will be a factor.
Right now, it's around 1 in 500 Canadians who have had covid. What happens as that number raises and more and more people don't really care about getting infected anymore? How long will it take to achieve a point where most people don't really care about covid, having already been infected?
I predict that the business will restart slowly. Some providers and clients will return, others will hold off or dramatically decrease their involvement. As the covid situation in general progresses, so will this business. If infections increase, I'm sure this business will drop off, and vice versa. I can't see this business being back at 100% until the risk is down to pretty much zero and that will likely take years.
I hear you. Now does seem like a smart time to take a step back and take advantage of the savings. I'm out for now, indefinitely. When I do return it will be way scaled back unless infection rates somehow drop to nothing or a vaccine is created. From my perspective I find you have been on point with your thoughts through this pandemic. This from someone who votedThis post supports why I've ALWAYS had major respect for you bro.
I am in the same boat. As much as I would love to see some of my favourite ladies I cannot take the risk once they start seeing others as I have a family member who is immune compromised. And I cannot afford to be a sugar daddy and keep a lady all to myself lol!If there is going to be a massive influx of clients after the restrictions are lifted, I guess I am going to be in the minority as I will be be taking a wait and see attitude, not worth the risk for me as do not want to pass covid-19 to a family member who is immunocompromised.
Seek and you shall find. Not all SBs want multiple SDs, especially with our current state. If you can see someone once a week, 4 times a month, you just need to seek out someone who would be a match.I am in the same boat. good for them. making more money during this difficult time.If current Leolist ads are any indication:
- Business is getting back to pre-covid amount of ads
- Pricing has not gone down, but actually UP in "most" cases of posted rates in the ads
As they say in the movies...."a sucker is born everyday". Why anyone will pay more for the same service post COVID, I cannot fully understand. If current Leolist ads are any indication:

The problem is that before it was risky only for SP and clients, now it increases general public risk. Hence, the government may not be so lenient as before. At this point I'm not judging anyone, so I hope my previous post didn't come across that way. The situation has changed a lot over the last 6-8 weeks so everyone is trying to figure out how to adapt. This "hobby" has always had risks (for both clients and providers) that I'm sure we're all aware of. It comes down to what level of risk each individual is comfortable with. It's a personal decision. COVID presents a new risk. If you are ok with it, have fun. If not, stay out.
100% agreeAs many people are going through financial hardship, and meeting the end needs is the priority. Affording an escort has been always a luxurious hobby paying 250-400 for only an hour. Only a few lawyers, doctors or a few businesspersons are making that much an hour. Therefore, for ordinary men it will be hard to afford it after the pandemic ends or slows down. No or less jobs, less money.
A lot of new girls will be available. It will be hard for girls to get rich clients all the time. So, end of the day more ladies, less customers to afford the cost. Price will go down. Infact, I have seen it in the beginning of this year that agency girls were exchanging numbers in a hope to meet and pay them privately due to less customers as they stayed in hotel rooms all days long with 2-3 appointments. One girl asked me to stay longer and pay half. I did it, and she has called the agency that I left. All kind of things gonna happen. Just Wait and Watch!
I think in the summer the cases may be limited due to the warm weather. Viruses, generally tend to be less active in hot weather. Theory is covid will act the same.I see some reputable girls are starting up again in June. I doubt this happens as cases are starting to spike again in Ontario. I think we’re fucked for a long time if you’re the type of guy that wants safe and healthy engagements...
The second wave will be even bigger and it will occur in September https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/second-wave-covid-19-1.5570905I think in the summer the cases may be limited due to the warm weather. Viruses, generally tend to be less active in hot weather. Theory is covid will act the same.
One thing I worry is that once people get out in the summer and see less cases. They'd think "see! no problem!" and come colder months in October/November with relaxed attitudes 2nd wave may hit hard.
