If there is going to be a massive influx of clients after the restrictions are lifted, I guess I am going to be in the minority as I will be be taking a wait and see attitude, not worth the risk for me as do not want to pass covid-19 to a family member who is immunocompromised.

I wouldn't say massive influx tho there would definitely be quite a few gentlemen that will go on a binge the first week or three.
But it is prudent to minimize the risk and be as responsible as much as we can.
I have been in contact with a few ladies who says they won't be active as much either and a few are not planning to come back until the coast is clear.
+1 when we hear 'the curve has flattened' everyone is going to whipping their wallets (and dicks) out! Make no mistake, this industry will survive and flourish! Prices may go up but what the heck, $200 or $250, if you want to get laid will $50 really make a difference,

I think you'll definitely see more girls continue to pump out online content - since it is now so easy for many of them to make money virtually. This means they can see less clients. I just saw that a girl I saw regularly at CMJ is going under a new name and has doubled her prices because she's now independent. Which is way too much for my taste but if it means she can see less people then good for her.

You're assuming that "once the restrictions are lifted" it will just like before. The possibility of getting this disease is still going to be there for both clients and providers. I've no doubt that a lot of people won't care, but enough will to sustain the online alternatives for a good long time.

1. My personal opinion is that the online experience is awkward and kinda degrading I find. Yeah, more degrading than paying for in-person sex since that's "real" to me. I think it will be the opposite because of the restrictions that will be placed on restaurants. Only allowing 50% capacity and requiring social distancing once inside will mean it might be harder to get a table at a lot of places.
Unfortunately, when things open, it will be be under vastly different regime. In the restaurants, waiters/waitresses must put on face masks and gloves, as will customers, there will be plexiglass shields to separate cubicles, maximum 50% occupancy will mean less customers at any given time, cashless transactions and perhaps paying only at a plexiglass shielded pay booth, no front desk will mean much less traffic. Good luck getting a same-day reservation. Same kind of restrictions in any business where close in-person interaction was the norm. It's not going to be pretty until this virus is under control: mass vaccination or drug-therapy. My major worry though is the effect on the economy: less employment, more government emergency financial handouts which will not replace past income levels, translating to more mental health issues, and financial stress with out-of-work folks struggling to pay bills
I prognosticate this will be the new normal for the next 6-18 months, depending which therapy is first out-the-gate (antiretrovirals or vaccine). Coming back to topic: the MP/SP industry will not be the same, we are in a deep depression the likes never experienced before, there will much fewer folks relatively well off to afford the lifestyle. Yes, there will be an initial pent-up demand from a few folk that have cushy jobs that will quickly dissipate once the desire is satiated but the vast majority of folks will be cash-strapped and under- or unemployed.
Mark my words, there will be a shake-down in the MP/SP industry, but they will evolve and adapt with the new realities, it is not called the oldest profession for nothing. At least for the next 6-18 months, until the economy rebounds to its formal state, there will more likely be more ladies entering the business than leaving so overall, the average price-per-transaction will be lower.
For those of us putting real time and energy into content creation, it is not as simple as one my think, but I get your point.
I am also wondering how many will keep up with online work when going back to escorting. I know that as long as clients want it, I will create it, and it is a good marketing tool, but I think things will settle down and go back the “norm” after time.

The coast isn't clear though. It's not going to be clear for a long time no matter what the government says. Cases may very well be on their way down right now because of the social distancing but it's not going to hit zero, and as soon as people start acting like the good times are here again they will rise. We're looking at multiple case surges over the next 18 to 24 months until there is a widely available vaccine, assuming we ever get one.
That's not to say that retail can't be reopened as long as proper procedures are followed, I agree that the economy can't be allowed to collapse and people have to be able to work. That has to reflect our new normal though, in which any kind of crowds and unnecessary human contact are still out.
