My advice to small business owners is to stop pushing for an end to the lockdown. All it takes is for one (yes, jut one) infected person to walk into your establishment and you and your staff could be infected. You can't run a business when you are very sick or dead.
The only way to try and slowly reopen is if we make the use of masks manditory.
Look at Taiwan.

Agreed, the employers need to be made responsible to supply masks of suitable quality say N95 of sufficient quantity.

Here is the video...

https://twitter.com/marczenn/status/1251975162926227457?s=21

Two nurses, who have witnessed first hand the toll Covid is taking in Colorado, stood up and peacefully counter protested. Here is how they were treated. I had join them.
Great comment...
This is going to backfire. They have no idea how many families have been impacted and how many have family wrking as doctors, nurses, paramedics, police, EMTs. As they abuse our health care workers, and basically spit on the dead and greiving, support for DJT is going to plummet.
Healthcare workers are like our soldiers now. When have these dumb fucks protesting shutdowns ever given their life for someone else. All they think about is their selfish needs like dumb robots programmed to be this stupid. They have no fucking clue what they are actually doing.

"Volvo, which was forced to halt production across Europe and furlough about 20,000 Swedish employees, will resume production at its Swedish plants on Monday."

So you can behave like an ostrich and stick your head in the sand or wake up and see a more intelligent approach to how the pandemic can be handled without a catastrophic damage to an economy.
Oh. You think Sweden is handling this well? I didn't know that.

Of course they are. They're not tip-toeing around the reality of the situation.

Why prolong the inevitable? That's like getting your head cut off by a Mexican cartel but instead of getting thru it quickly, you tell them to cut really slowly using a dull knife.

Open your eye beyond Sweden handles it in a very diplomatic approach is better? Why do we look at other cities or countries in Asia what have they done. Are they doing a better job? Beside Korea. Taiwan, etc. Hong Kong is a city with 7.5 millions population (one of the most high density well developed cities), the government has all the healthy quarantine implemented to prevent the spreading of the virus in the city. As it is today, there are only ~1000 cases with only 4 deaths. Case in the past 10 days is only one digit increased. Compared with all European and North America, there would that be something we need to learn.
Hong Kong City is not lock down totally but have new requirement for gathering. There is a very tight arrangement for inbound travellers. (Infection Control Advice for Person under Compulsory Home Quarantine by Law). Hong Kong has the case starting mid January until mid of March is called first wave until the 2nd wave is a lot of all Hong Kong Residents from Europe, US and Canada are rushing back Hong Kong because they trust Hong Kong Government is doing a better job to protect their health in this pandemic and now has been proved they made a right decision.

Look at the web site you can see very detail what Hong Kong Government has done protect the health of all citizens (all ages) to get this low death rate compared with the rest of the world.

Numbers of infections and deaths have declined in almost all countries recently. Flattening of the curves?
Add one city in Asia Hong Kong

Sweden( pop 10.5 mil)latest update
14,777 cases, 1580 deaths
Ontario ( pop 14.5 mil)latest updates
10,580 cases, 550 deaths
Hong Kong (pop 7.5M)llatest update
1,026 cases, 4 deaths

Sweden and Ontario still have serveral hundred cases increased everyday while Hong Kong is zero today.

Hong Kong releases their own numbers. Like Taiwan and South Korea, they handled this pandemic much better than most if not all western govts.

OT but Apeople dont realize this...many of the protestors in HK were professional rioters as in they were paid to, even my dad who is HK born doesnt support these fake protestors, not to say CCP is honest or anything, but there is more than meets the eyez

That remains to be seen. If these workers start getting sick it won't seem so intelligent.

Perhaps you've heard kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, restaurants, bars, hairdressing salons (where there is close contact), resorts, hardware stores, etc., etc. have remained open without the sky and the economy collapsing. So they've demonstrated a more intelligent approach already.

Instead of praising the Swedes for their gutsiness, some of you would bury them. Instead of a standing ovation, you would boo them. I am rooting for you, Sweden. Amazing people.
I don’t think so. Last week I saw 51 nursing homes were hit with covid and there are seniors dying all across the GTA at unprecedented rates. Yet you think it won’t be a problem here. Did you know nurses got an e-mail from their head asking to volunteer at senior homes. Did you know that presently they are thinking reassigning nurses to work at senior homes. Did you know there is a problem with proper PPE and containment measures. What’s going to happen when more nurses start getting sick and spreading it to other patients, other nurses and family members.

Here is one story....
Montreal nurse with COVID-19 symptoms worked at nursing home where at least 30 residents died
https://globalnews.ca/news/6813286/montreal-nursing-home-covid-19-31-deaths-allegations/
This is just one nurse, but you naively quote kindergartens, restaurant and hair salons. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Our healthcare system has potential to collapse if overwhelmed with covid patients. You have no fucking clue how bad it can get here. Talk to a nurse or doctor who actually knows the situation and see how quickly your attitude will change. We are not Sweeden.

Yes. We've read you post the same thing countless times in the last 3 weeks. Here's my question...when you're typing Sweden, what letter do you get to before you blow a huge wad of jizz all over your keyboard? I'm going to guess the 1st 'e'.
