How do you know that he has never had a date to take to a restaurant , a girlfriend to fly with for a vacation or a car to drive . Are you keeping tabs on him . Are you a stalker .
This is his opinion on life . How do you know that he is not living life to the fullest his way . Just because he sees things differently doesn't make you right and him wrong . Yea sure have a girlfriend and get married . Then a few years later go see a SP because you're not happy . Great life that is .
Go to a bar and hang out with buddies . Then when you leave they talk about you in a bad way . These buddies that you cherish so much will be there in your time of need . Will they lend you money if you need it .
Buddies and acquaintances are a dime a dozen . Do you need other people to make your life whole . Are you a social butterfly . If so than you really must be hurting now .
Just because some likes to socialize just mean that they are enjoying life . It means that they need other people to make their pathetic life whole .
I have a neighbor who travels on holidays with a least 5 other couples all the time . I asked her if she was not capable of having a great time with only her husband . She needs other people to have a nice time . She just looked at me with a stupid look .
Being a social butterfly doesn't mean that you are enjoying life . It means that you are depended on other people to have a good time . SAD
Of course I don`t know him personally, but it isn`t hard to speculate on someone who thinks that bars, restaurants, motor vehicles, and airlines should remain shut down forever.
And I didn`t appreciate his insinuation that I need a bottle in my mouth.

However, if an anti-social degenerate life is what you want, good for you.

I understand making the best of a bad situation, but I don't get people who honestly say they are 'enjoying' this, or are in no hurry for it to end.

There were no cars or planes in history until a relatively short time ago, yet they were quite capable of transporting food without them.
They had no need to "walk off into the wilderness and live off the land".
Furthermore, only a small percentage of road vehicles transport goods such as food. Imagine all the lives saved & lessening of pollution if they were the only ones. Probably those professional drivers have fewer casualties.
Trains also transport food & stuff.
Cars that don't pollute the air could be created & used? Maybe electric cars? I don't know.
If car speed limits were greatly reduced, that would save a lot of lives.

By all means enjoy life, but do it sustainably. Wether your ready for it or not, the economy as we know as died, the era of consumption is going the way of the dodo bird. Have all the sex you want but wear a rubber - less mouths to feed. Have that triple stack burger but take it home in a paper bag. Keep a Britta in your fridge and reuse a couple of plastic bottles. Every little bit helps.
As were obsessed with the coronavirus there is an even worse pandemic happening. One can could drastically limit our ability to produce food. Nature doesn't sit still, it evolves. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that a genetic mutation could evolve from the garbage in our waters, one that we'll have no defense against. Btw, I hate golf...lower my taxes and put golf courses to better use.

Picking up some take from one of my favourite restaurants yesterday, looking at all the chairs onto of the tables it was a weird feeling. After eating at home, maybe seeing the way restaurants look today, it finally hit, how much life has changed and will not return to the same indefinitely.
There will be no more buffets. All those all-you-can-eat buffets restaurants have now could be closed in Toronto and it is unknown when they will reopen.
Then there is dim sum. There is no more dim sum either. I could picture everyone sitting at the table with a mask on with the carts rolling on by, pushed by grandma and aunt, but the way Cantonese like to speak, like loud, dui fucking spit droplets still flying out from the sides of the mask. Fuck. Ai ya!
There will be no more home team as there will be no crowds at sporting events. I do not think there is another situation with so much micro-spit flying around when someone scores a goal. Hey! At least the good guys won! A little of someone else's spit never hurt anyone, until now.
