Yeah commentary between periods on the Oilers Jets games is that the League will suspend the season.

Things will get a lot worse before it starts to turn around. I think eventually all pro sports will suspend play, possible the NBA and NHL won’t even be able to hold playoffs if this drags on for 3 or 4 months.

I was looking forward to the playoffs too.

If that's the case, there is a force majeure in the Collective Bargaining Agreement....the Owners are not obliged to pay the players their remaining salary; in addition, this will reduce the Salary Cap for next year.

They have about 30 days to decide. I think its about 85% chance they shut it down. NHL 100% season done.

I knew this from the time they said it was "suspended". We all knew the pandemic was going to hit the U.S harder then many other countries. It was just a matter of time. Obviously they wanted to be optimistic, but it was very bleak at best once from the the time they suspended the season.

I heard NBA players are taking a 25% pay cut.
