Yes, the whole "the risk in Ottawa is low" or "there are only a few cases in Ottawa" misses a HUGE factor ...

WE ARE THE CAPITAL CITY OF A COUNTRY!
{I know you know that, but it's kinda important to remind ourselves re: CONTACT NODES}

We have people from all over, some who call this home, and many who have family/home elsewhere on the globe where they visit OFTEN (and likely at beginning of outbreak).

Ottawa is a global hub (not like NYC, of course, but ...). Factor that into the "low risk" opinions before you state them, openly.

I honestly think the difference is the perceived risk and who it most affects. For the providers, most are young and healthy. There is a very good chance that this would be no worse than a flu for them. They get it, get sick, get better and move on. The risk is effectively passed to the client rather than truely shared. With an STD, it would possibly be with them for life and could potentially be career ending. I don't think for many there is really a lot of conscious thought beyond how to pay the bills an manage the risk. I assume for some the percieved risk/impact of covid is low whereas the impact of an STD is higher. This really highlights that for many providers it is really entirely driven by self interest. I for one am watching to see who's is still taking clients because when this is over i will be avoiding those who are still taking clients.

I hate to ask, but is anyone aware of providers who made not advertising on LL but still taking clients?

Yesterday I started a list of all Ottawa escorts who are still working. I'm doing it for myself because I want to keep track of who will not be getting a dime from me once this is over. For now I won't be posting it publicly because idiots will know who is available. I'll wait until this crisis is done.

I now have a greater understanding of why we can't discuss bbfs, because idiots would know where to look.

this may sound mean, but i dont feel guilty or feel bad for the majority of sw's that are not currently working.

plus i'm not impressed with all the begging for gifts etc during this time.

like everyone, you have to be smart with your money and SAVE it for times like this.

Huge difference. I don't rub up against the clerk at LCBO

Having said that I don't think LCBO should be open either but unless the Canadian Government steps in Doug Ford will ensure it's open no matter how bad it gets
