I made a typo, its 6.8% and not 14.6%.
But even over 6% is still crazy high, and IMO cant blame that on a high Italian age group

The hospital system in the affected areas in Italy is apparently at capacity and overwhelmed and is prioritizing treatment for those who are younger and expected to survive.
We need it but we won't find it. COVID19 was created by the top 0.1% to consolidate wealth. They weren't making enough money off the frothy stock and housing markets anymore. Just as they became even richer after the 2008 crisis, so will they after this one. Guess what happened to everyone else, and what will happen to them this time around.

Their health care system is overwhelmed, and so people are not getting the care that they need. I've read that critical cases requiring ventilation in the ICU already had only a 50% survival rate.. now, if there are no ventilators available.. that probably drops to 0%.
South Korea is doing better because they've done a lot of testing, isolating people before it spreads.. and it's far more common in Asia to wear masks, further limiting spread.
Meanwhile, our government is advising against wearing masks, despite the fact that there is overwhelming evidence that the virus can be spread while people are asymptomatic.
'Normal flu' never had all these governments & organisations closing shop in this manner.
Something has them all spooked. Even if the virus isn't the underlying reason.
