The heirs and beneficiaries of your uncle are very willing to confer this money to anyone who will put up a mere $5000 to $10000 to cover their immediate expenses. After all, Nigerians are entirely honest and are strictly egalitarian in their world outlook.

One of them or maybe they were a group (gang?) fleeced a Canadian woman of $1.9mm in a romance scam. I thought women are smarter than men.

You'd think so. But i saw a post where a dude put up a photo of an impossibly handsome bloke and began chatting with ladies....and he made the bloke seem like the most awful person yet the ladies persisted. Like he mentioned how he just got out of prison for being a child molester, yet the women were like "oh well everyone makes mistakes". And he makes the bloke even worse from there yet the ladies hung in there...

I saw that post. This shows that at the minimum, our biology is very strong. The heart wants what it wants. You can't negotiate desire, for better OR for worse.

Fun fact: If anyone saw the Matt Damon movie The Informant that came out a bunch of years ago, it's based on a true whistle blower story. The main character told the Feds how Archer Daniels Midland was colluding to raise prices. However, what the movie didn't mention is the reason this guy turned was because he got caught embezzling cash to cover his losses from being swindled in the Nigerian advance fee scam. LOL

60 minutes did a story on Nigerian internet scammers. One internet cafe they visited was full of ragged, shirtless, shoe less people busily typing away. Cutting and pasting and photo shopping. They were savvy, smart fuckers. They catch on fast.

Sad but true. Apparently, Paul Bernardo use to or still gets tons of love letters (many with nude photos) from female admirers as did Ted Bundy who actually married one of his female admirers.

Why do I suspect that the $27B hoard is itself a fiction like the other great hoards left in banks, estates, deposit boxes and whatever else these con artists dream up? :eyebrows:
