And since that's the only 'error' you've claimed for Steele, he's confirmed as way more trustworthy than Trump.

Mueller didn't push far enough, I agree.
But he was operating under the understanding that he would never be able to charge or arrest Trump.

The fact is Mueller clearly stated that Trump was not exonerated in his investigations. Mueller did not have the authority to indict a sitting President. That is where partisan Barr decided to coverup any further evidence in his redactions of the report!!
