Douggo's reign of foolery appears doomed.
Douggo's reign of foolery appears doomed.
I really do believe that this is the situation we're in... Pretty sad when no-one walks down the Center as it'll mean a guaranteed loss come Election time. Not a surprise, we get the liberals fir a while pissing money away like drunk sailors, then the conservatives try to come in and cut everything. People get pissed at all the cuts and elect liberals. And the cycle continues
You think Maginty and Winn are your idea of sanity. In other words back to Sanity!!
But DoFo is the definition of dis-sanity.You think Maginty and Winn are your idea of sanity.
Much more sane than Dumb DOFO!!You think Maginty and Winn are your idea of sanity.
'At the end of 2018-19, the province owed a projected $343 billion in debt, higher than any other subnational government in the world.'Interest payments on our debt are Ontario’s fourth largest line item after healthcare, education and social services. Not a surprise, we get the liberals fir a while pissing money away like drunk sailors, then the conservatives try to come in and cut everything. People get pissed at all the cuts and elect liberals. And the cycle continues
Simple explanation: most people don't understand the impacts of that debt.'At the end of 2018-19, the province owed a projected $343 billion in debt, higher than any other subnational government in the world.'Interest payments on our debt are Ontario’s fourth largest line item after healthcare, education and social services.
In 2019–20, interest on the debt will cost about $13.3 billion. As Ontario’s debt has increased, we continue to pay more and more interest. Every dollar that is spent paying interest is one less dollar going to critical public programs and services.
That's a staggering amount the Liberals walked the people of Ontario into.
Giving the reigns back to them and their progressive agenda is just plain scary.
It's hard to fathom how the sheeple who follow them don't see this. But that's why they are pathological
And Ford increased it.'At the end of 2018-19, the province owed a projected $343 billion in debt, higher than any other subnational government in the world.'Interest payments on our debt are Ontario’s fourth largest line item after healthcare, education and social services.

Nope. Liberals hold the record on that one. $1 billion/month in interest payments on the Liberal debt. Hard to climb out of that in a couple of years regardless of who the new provincial government is.And Ford increased it.
Apparently right wingers also add to the debt, only they give tax breaks to the rich and corporations and then cut health care, schools and social services.
First Druggie lied about the debt he inherited and said it was twice what it was.Nope. Liberals hold the record on that one.
https://www.narcity.com/news/ca/on/...orse-than-ever-and-canadians-are-roasting-himIn an analysis by the Financial Post, it was found that Doug Ford's government is currently spending more than Kathleen Wynne and the Liberals had planned to in 2019. In the 2018-2019 fiscal year alone, Ford and his party reportedly added nearly $12 billion to the province's debt. Interest charges on Ontario's current debt make up nine percent of all revenue, to the tune of $13 billion.
Let's try and bring you out of your debt denial shall we:First Druggie lied about the debt he inherited and said it was twice what it was.

Then he added another $12 billion.

Nice work!!........Let's try and bring you out of your debt denial shall we:
When the Dalton McGuinty Liberals took power in 2003, Ontario’s public debt was $138.8 billion.
When the Kathleen Wynne Liberals were defeated in June, it was $325 billion, a 134% increase, according to their own numbers.

So let's keep the PC's in power for 15 consecutive years and see where they stand then? Otherwise, snap out of your debt denial and come to grips with reality.
And if you need more convincing to break out of that socialist coma, here's some additional sobering info:
Interest payments alone cost more than $12.3 billion per year
Servicing the debt is Ontario’s fourth largest line item after healthcare, education and social services. It’s more than double the cost of Ontario’s justice system. It’s more than three times larger than the total fuel taxes collected by Ontario each year ($3.4 billion). It’s large enough to eat up 88 per cent of the $13.9 billion in corporate taxes collected by Ontario each year. Interest payments are exactly half of the province’s $24 billion education budget. So, to best picture what $12.3 billion per year looks like, just imagine the cost of every second teacher, stapler and school bus in the entire province. With 1.9 million students currently in Ontario public schools, this means that the money Ontario spends servicing its debt is equivalent to sending 1 million students (or, three per cent of the population of Canada) to school.

Sure, liberal governments increased the debt.Let's try and bring you out of your debt denial shall we:

Pretty much. Easier to throw money at special groups, than take it back. Humans aren't good at long-term gain, for short-term pain. They'd rather have short-term gain, for long-term pain. It's why we're in so much debt. Not a surprise, we get the liberals fir a while pissing money away like drunk sailors, then the conservatives try to come in and cut everything. People get pissed at all the cuts and elect liberals. And the cycle continues
Then we need a new Conservative leader, not a Liberal one.Sure, liberal governments increased the debt.
But that doesn't change the fact that Ford isn't lowering it either, he's increased it.
First he lied about the debt he inherited.

Conservatives need new leadership, that I agree with, they also need to rethink their strategy. Whatever it is they are trying to do federally and in this province isn't working. A new leader sometimes just gets you more of the "same old" repackaged. Then we need a new Conservative leader, not a Liberal one.
It took Paul Martin to get lower the debt for Canada. Then we need a new Conservative leader, not a Liberal one.
