I need some help gentlemen. I’m looking for some business ideas for when I retire. Ideally something part time where I only need to work 10 to 20 hours a week and earn some extra money for hobbying and other expenses.

Any good ideas are much appreciated!

If you go to any job board like Indeed.ca was search part time, you will get a thousand hits. Fast food restaurant and food delivery are common. The real question is, are you going to be happy doing that. Going from a $120K salary to $15 hr, is a adjustment to say the least. If you really need the extra money, I would just stay working until you hit what you need without counting on extra money.
I retired within the last year, with the plan to find some job that I would like to keep me busy. Wasn’t looking for the income, but that would be a bonus. So far, still casually looking but getting less hopeful.
I believe I saw something like 50% of retirees think they will work in retirement but the actual number is more like 10%. Saw a number of people do part time in the industry I was in and it never lasted. On thing was they didn’t like the impact on income tax with pensions they were getting or really anything they started had to be finished by a full time because they weren’t around.

He said business not job. I'm sure he knows about working for someone else part time. There are a lot of franchises that aren't a huge investment and home based.

Consider investing in a taxi license.

Big initial expense, but last time I looked it was a license to print money!

Not this, not something you can do part time. Probably the worst thing you could do.

Yes, but do not fall for some scams that asks for an investment up front, promising that you will get huge returns on that income.

Little to no start up money is a must

There is money to be made through legitimate "affiliate marketing".

"Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s (or company’s) products. You find a product you like, promote it to others and earn a piece of the profit for each sale that you make."

This is the best idea so far. I enjoy writing. Can you elaborate further?
Personally, I'm trying to learn more about it. Robert Bly is a guy who does mostly copywriting advertising. But, he has published a bunch of books about various ways of how lucrative writing can be. Just find a niche you like.

Here is his website: https://www.bly.com

And the one book I'm referring to: https://www.amazon.ca/Money-Making-Writing-Jobs-Robert-Bly/dp/140221507X

Businesses will always need content and really do value a person who has a strong command of English, writing and editing.

Once you find out what you want to do just contact them on Facebook and make a pitch.

There are also websites like fiver and upwork where people can reach out to you for projects.
