In 1992 David Suzuki's daughter Severn then at the age of 12
along with a bunch of other privileged kids travelled to the U.N.
to deliver a chilling message on the horrible state of our environment
was deteriorating into wherein animals were dying and she was
too horrified to stay in the sun because of ozone depletion.
She mentioned having to fight her future.
She has grown up to give birth to two children to fight for their
future. She is probably smart enough to understand it is prudent
not to contribute to a net increase in population by not producing
more than two offsprings. I can only presume her eminent scientist
daddy told her the future for his two grandchildren would not be as
gloomy as his lectures implicated. He might have told her he
was giving all those talks because the money was good.

We need to stop listening to what these so called scientists say and start looking at their actions.
There’s a big difference between what they tell us to do and how they live their lives.

Right, until they move out into the woods and refuse to use computers or anything that requires electricity they are obviously hypocrites.
Only when their research is made only with abacus' will the right wingers be happy.
Is that what you mean?

Don’t be an idiot franky.
I’m talking about multiple mansions with heated swimming pools that are cooled or heated even when empty.
Some near the ocean that will supposedly be underwater in a few years.
The constant flying to give paid speeches.
Basically not giving a shit about bullshit they preach to us.

.
Ah, those super rich government climate researchers.
They're the worst, with their private jets and ski jets.

Science really pays so well, right?

Hypocrites. Do as I say not as I do. No integrity. Of course Frankie supports folks like this.

Yes, they are total hypocrites.
Each and every one of them keeps breathing and emitting more CO2.
The only moral thing for them and you to do is just to die, preferably leaving your body to be eaten by squirrels so it doesn't rot and produce methane.

Until everyone stops breathing entirely we're all a bunch of climate change hypocrites.

That's what you meant, right?

Wrong-it’s the way they live not the fact that they breathe.
That is a ridiculous argument.

I've seen a list of some of the names... the vast majority are scientists in other disciplines...not particularly related to climate. This, in my opinion, is more political than science. Not that other scientists should not have an opinion...I have an opinion, although it is somewhat fluid at the moment. It is far more interesting to read scientific papers on the debates around the various tipping points (the feared tipping points) and to see that there is still a lot of basic research being done and that alarmist predictions don't fit with anything but fear itself. Probably a more realistic fear is a meteorite impact.

That's 11,000 scientists, that's a big number.

But yes, reading the papers is also key.
I assume you've read the ones here:

I agree, your argument is absolutely ridiculous.

Please tell us precisely how they'd have to live their lives to not be considered hypocrites. Please be specific.
Let’s take David Suzuki for example.
He owns 4 homes-one of them is an 8 million dollar mansion.
Another one is co owned by an oil company-that’s ridiculous.
He also jets around the world giving paid speeches telling us to lower our carbon footprint.
HYPOCRITE.

So if he only had one house and didn't travel for speeches, he'd be OK with you?

That is one guy. Is that how all scientists live?

A high school biology teacher saying
overpopulation being a potential threat to earth
won't likely upset anyone in class. When a high
profile scientist like David Suzuki who openly told
people that growth of human population and economy
being "suicidal" and that overconsumption is the
biggest problem he was more like making a political
statement than expressing a personal opinion. Repercussions
to political statement can be widespread. it is
only natural for scrutinization of Suzuki's own contribution to
economic growth and overpopulation to be one
of the repercussions.

It is up to the celebrities openly warning against climate
change to practice what they preach. I don't think people
in general are so unreasonable as to expect
those who care about the environment to live in poverty.
Among celebrities involved in environmentalism
I can think of Robert Redford and Natalie Portman who are not
labelled as environmental hypocrites like Leonardo DiCarprio.
Try think how much less CO2 is dumped into the the
atmosphere if only DiCarprio lived a similar lifestyle
to Keanu Reeves and more importantly how much
more positive his influence would be as a role model.
