Sorry but I'm a Canadian citizen and don't obsess about what is happening in the states. I don't get to vote in their elections and no American gives one shit about a Canadian posting on an escort review board thinks about their politics or who should be their president.

Assuming Scheer was filing his US Tax Returns and/or Foreign Bank Account Reports, as he was required to do....it takes two interviews at the US Consulate to process his renunciation of Citizenship, at which point he then receives his Official Certificate of Loss of Nationality.

If he were really serious about this, he should have got the ball rolling in 2017 when he became leader of the Conservative Party - when there was a real possibility of him becoming Prime Minister of this country; that he waited until August of this year to start this process is suspect in my eyes.

The U.S. Embassy in Ottawa is currently taking 9-10 months to process these applications....which means, if the Conservatives were to win the election, Scheer would still be a dual-citizen when he moves into 24 Sussex.

The broken "American Broker" Baby Scheer was constantly bothering Freeland and Trudeau to quickly sign a deal, as they were "running out of time". But Freeland knew exactly how to do a standoff, so as to get the best possible deal. In the end they even managed to have the steel and aluminium tariffs eliminated all together. How many such tariffs have been abolished with regards to China or even the other other EU nations??
Then as usual the "American Broker" claimed that he would have got an even better deal. Really?? Especially, as he would have rushed to sign it very early on, instead of supporting a Government at that very critical time??

Especially as "American Broker" Baby Scheer was the one to question the former Governor General's dual citizenship, while keeping his own secret hush, hush until it was disclosed by the media. That hypocrisy needs to be pointed out. Otherwise, great to have dual citizens in Canada!!
