OJ, you are a bit melodramatic.
Perhaps, but far more handsome and debonair than the pic in your quote.

And, I am correct about Trump's well-established inability to add to his minority support. I shed no tears for him.

This is a oft-repeated and erroneous argument against Trump that largely ignores recent history. Trump fairs no worse than recent Republican candidates with minority voters. Some would say he's improved the Republican vote at the margins enough to win in 2016 and possibly 2020.

If you think the Republican party is anti-minority, that's fine. I don't want to have that debate on this thread.

You Americans and your race-thingy. 'Minority' was a politico-parliamentary term long before you started using it to refer to population groups you wished you didn't have to deal with.

Even if he were to win again in 2020, I'm confident that it would only by through be a repeat of 2016's undemocratic farce, when votes of 304 party hacks out-weighed the votes of a the majority of 67 million American citizens. Trump managed only a minority of the vote.

Ever since, Trump's minority have devoutly wished they didn't have to deal with the majority, so they vilify, abuse and disadvantage them at every opportunity. And just as with the racial version of majority/minority, they and the country would fare much better if they'd focus on what they have in common and find ways to prosper together. Little progress so far — politically or racially.

Those who don't learn …

Poll: Large majorities of black, Hispanic voters say Trump has been bad for them

When you've got about 80% of black Americans saying Trump has been bad for them and then argue that all the rest of the GOP is the same, I see why the GOP focuses so hard on voter disenfranchisement and making harder for people of colour to vote. That's their only hope.

As expected, you deviated from my comment and made this about Republicans and Race. My point is that Trump is not some racial firebrand that came along and turned-off minority voters.

That poll says otherwise, unless you think that the GOP has always been a party for white people.

Since most minority voters are Democrats, you already have polling bias baked into the poll results. That seemed obvious to me. The real test and the only test is 2016 and 2020 minority voting patterns vis-a-vis Romney, McCain and Bush in their respective Presidential elections.

Am I missing something here?

Yes, Trump is incredibly unpopular with the approximate 50% of the population that's not white.
