It certainly does not reaffirm the argument that proper screening was conducted
Or it has absolutely nothing to do with it. The known refugee is innocent (or at least not charged) and the kid charged is unidentified.

How convenient for Justin.
Are you now stooping to conspiracy theories?

Throw the kid in jail for 10 years and when he's done, deport him back to wherever he came from.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Everybody is jumping to conclusions regarding the minor who's been charged. Hopefully, he'll be tried as an adult and his identity disclosed, but until then - it's all speculation. He might have been born here for all anybody knows.

Until then?
And that will be after the election
However, we have to respect his rights as a youth.

Are you hoping that is after the election?
I’m not hoping for anything Larue. Just pointing out that people will look pretty silly if the guy was born here or heaven forbid - his family came here 3 years ago or longer. Who would you blame then?

We still do not know about the identity of the minor who has appeared in court. So pure speculation for know with regards to his origin.
As usual there is a huge deal made out of sweet nothings, with regards to the origin of the person held!!

Look silly?
This a public safety issue so lets not be overly concerned about who would look silly.
Do not loose sight of the fact the objective was to kill people
Pretending there was no risk is far worst than "silly" it is irresponsible

However, I do believe we have to respect his rights as a youth.
Justin may have dodged a big political problem here

By ignoring reality? Racist or far right terrorism is more common in Canada than Muslim terrorism so "common sense" would say otherwise.
Reality??????
I specifically warned bring refugees in from a war zone in a rush was risky
The response: Just ignore reality

Only someone like you would call refugees a public safety issue.
Only someone like you would declare someone making bombs with the intention of killing people is not a public safety issue
Good lord man, someone you care about could have been one of the random victims!!!!

On a related issue, CTV reports that Yazidi women in Canada who escaped ISIS are receiving threats. Police don't know who or from where.

And what evidence do you have to support this? As far as I'm aware, the only refugee talked about is the guy that was questioned and released. But that doesn't stop you anti-immigration people like you from claiming otherwise.

Exactly what crimes have the tens of thousands of Syrian refugees committed against Canadians?

We don't know how well or not the 60,000 Syrian refugees are doing since the Trudeau government either don't know, don't care or they do know but won't tell us. One would assume that if the Trudeau government do know and aren't boasting from the rooftops is an indication it is not good news.

(What we do know is that at least one is a pedophile, one allegedly murdered a 13 year old girl and one beat his wife with a hockey stick.)

"Canada’s auditor general is among the unamused. The Liberals had a plan to monitor whether the mostly Arabic-speaking refugees were learning English or French, working, receiving social assistance and going to school, but the government has failed to follow through, said auditor general Michael Ferguson. It is Ottawa’s responsibility, he said, to make sure Syrians refugees “integrate into Canadian society.”"
(Sad note: Michael Ferguson passed away in the past few days.)

"The federal Liberals are not following the more transparent approach of Sweden and Germany, which took in the largest numbers of the 2.6 million mostly-Syrian asylum seekers who arrived in Europe in 2015 and 2016. The governments of those countries are providing extensive data on refugee outcomes, in addition to launching waves of job-training programs."

Are you suggesting we massively increase the numbers of refugees like Sweden did?
