Long time hobbyist infrequent poster. Now before I begin I’ll aplogize in advance before all the white knight defenders crawl out and come roast me. Hoping to have more of an honest discussion here. Has anyone else noticed in the last year or so that the quality/attractiveness of SPs have gone considerably down hill? And rates continue to climb/remain high for even some questionable looking providers..I get it, beauty is subjective but let’s be honest here. Again, not meant to be a hurtful post I could very well be missing something completely as to where all those classically beautiful provides have gone since the beginning of the year..

Toronto has never been a really great city for SP's. For that you need to go to Montreal.

IMO that is not just relatable to SPs but ppl in general in all social circles
Ppl nowadays read less (and I mean smth that develops them, makes them think, analyze and etc, i.e. not just consume "fast food" news)
Less human communication and real live interaction between ppl nowadays too as all mostly done via social media with permanent immediate
gratification agenda/mode and therefore such "wow culture" destroys meaningful intelligent dialogue as well as distorts the reality altogether.
General ppl's closeness as say one doesnt support Trump but doesnt support liberal cultures neither (i.e. in fact neutral altogether and not
interested in all that stuff); however, that person still considered as Trumpist and immediately as en enemy of those who hates him, i.e.
polarization of society into Friend/v/Foe mentality makes detachment and desire for ppl to connect even harder.
Therefore, such atmosphere makes ppl to switch even more towards non-stop exercise mode/drugs/celebrity following/work addictions modes etc
which, in essence, shifts zombie state mode to repeat itself in that vicious cycle

17 years ago when I first graced TERB "3 bills" was the elite. Now it's just about anyone that decides to put the term "Courtesan" in front of her name. It is what it is, but I echo the OP's sentiment.It is what it is though.
Sorry lads...travel the world a bit...and you'll find you are blessed by the ladies who work in Toronto. For example, had a mate spend US$750 in a brothel in Nevada for 45 mins with a lady half as attractive as those in Toronto, as well as having to negotiate every single act with her with US dollars attached to everything. Exhausting.

Personally I think Toronto is pretty good and has been closing the “quality gap” with eg: Montréal for years. And totally agree with kherg007 above. An equivalent outcall in the US is more expensive and usually lower value in looks and service. Meanwhile the Toronto MPA scene has exploded (vs eg: 15 years ago). So it’s easier than ever to “make friends” with attractive MPA’s (during the session or meet outside) and even skip the SP scene altogether.
I would agree that Toronto is a fabulous place to hobby. Montreal may be very good but frankly a lot of girls would rather work in Toronto and I don't blame 'em. I don't think Toronto is necessarily better in terms of quality, I just think there's such a higher volume that if 10% of the girls are great then sheer numbers means more great girls. It also means a lot of not so great girls but I'd rather have choice and variety.
I think the girls charging higher rates are able to and many often bring their rates back down after an initial price increase. Most guys only see a girl once, especially at higher rates. It's always a pricing game where the girl tries to minimize the number of clients she sees while still maximizing her $$$.
The beauty of it is there's a while new crop of talent every year to pick from so don't get hung up on a girl who has priced herself out of your comfort zone.

I disagree with the op. There are many beautiful women working in the GTA at all price points. We are fortunate to live here. I would never even attempt to hobby in the US.
Four unrelated points: 1) Women now have more career options compared to 17 yrs ago so many may choose not to become SPs. 2) Women in natural settings look much hotter. I saw an SP in the path in Toronto she was way hotter in street clothes than how she looked in her working girl lingerie when I saw her a few days back. 3) SPs now in general take more risk (e.g. PSE services) compared to 17 yrs ago; therefore they expect to be compensated more, this is part of the reason for the higher price point. 4) Younger generation in general expects higher compensation in many sectors. In corporate finance, private equity etc new talent is being compensated at much higher levels than previous generations (even on an inflation adjusted basis) they are admittedly brighter and more demanding; so this is a general trend not peculiar to SP industry.
DO KEEP IN MIND 17 yrs ago $200 & $300 was worth more .... could buy more back then. Everything has gone up = cost of living esp. RENT. Actually considering that , the price has gone down!! Most charge $200 / hr just like 17 yrs ago & yet $200 today is worth less than $200 17 yrs ago..... So I am contending you pay less today. Has no one got a raise in pay , in 17 yrs ????
I do think quality may have gone down ..... or .... more ladies who are Independent have come along who are questionable. This maybe due to the fact that the pay looked way more attractive 17-20 yrs ago.

However, I would agree that pricing is loopy, and often not tied to the quality of a session. Some fantastic ladies charge the standard rate, and some lousy ladies charge $350+. That's what happens when a system is hogtied in a way that doesn't allow it to perfectly operate in a free market. There's not enough transparency, so clients can't properly assess a lady's potential. And ladies, seeing others charging more, think "I can do that!" without considering their position in the industry in terms of session quality.

For me quality has definetely gone down but quantity has definitely gone up. There definitely seems to be a lack of young 19-21 that are thin and pretty like i see on the montreal escorts websites. Seems in toronto there is a lot of young chubby girls and over the hill cougars with the odd gem that comes along
Reading the reasoning for price changes directly from providers who have gone from 300-500-1000+ it is often they have too many requests and need to find a way to allocate their time and a price change does exactly that. It may be illogical to think someone would increase their prices 'just because' but have no leg to stand on in the quality of the experience they provide (you shouldn't be surprised, mind blowing sex is not the only measure of quality, think more connection). Surely it would be unsustainable for them otherwise as repeat clientele is the foundation a highly successful companion business is built upon. If anyone right now is at 200-250 and providing amazing service, then enjoy that while you can but its only a matter of time until they get popular enough to increase. Hoping to keep them down is selfish and discompassionate. Also, I'm sure there are those clients they lose from a lower price point that they wish they could keep and I'm sure there are those who can afford the higher rates who they wish couldn't too lol (just as sex doesn't make a good provider, money doesn't make a good client). Pricing isn't loopy in my perspective, it is super consistent as agencies and independents are all within a similar range. It is the subjective nature of our experience that changes to determine whether we think its "worth" it.
And I completely agree with rhuarc29, it truly is as great as ever! From 2009 you must know this board used to center around 3-5 hot agency girls. Now look at the diversity of popular companions, so much so, things like "who's the best" poll will have 50+ different providers mentioned and rightfully so!
