Legal weed and no harassment from police for prostitution. We’ll get alot more male visitors from the U.S. Once an organized casino district comes along, the entertainment value will rocket for the male libido. I’m already pretty happy that the leafs, raptors, and jays are all world class teams.

1. Legal weed - it is what it is. But I'm sick of walking down the street and being subjected to the stench of pot smokers.

2. Prostitution is legal, but under c36 it is still illegal to buy sex. There has never been any major crackdown on the purchasing of sex, you are correct. However, the law is on the books and it remains to be seen whether or not the politicians decide to crack down on the sex trade or not.

3. Hopefully Toronto never sees a casino ever. Casino's are best left to Niagara Falls and other such towns. Most Torontonians opposed the construction of a casino under the Rob Ford government and the idea was killed and buried. I see no indication that this has changed.

Unfortunately Doug Ford is "unofficially" eying the old Ontario Place property for redevelopment as that, a casino.

Not going to happen, Rogers is looking at the area as a potential site for their new baseball park. The Skydome is becoming dilapidated and ice falling from the CN Tower in winter makes things worse.

Toronto's future is dependent on perception - who's the better role model? White Powder Ma or Tommy Chong?

Let's be clear, I DO NOT WANT a casino built/developed @Ontario Place.
With Doug Ford's majority plus:
-previously known desire for a casino
-a lack of transparency
-distain for Toronto
there is a strong possibility he will build a casino against Toronto's wishes.

Douglas may be a thug but he's no chiuch. You can throw your weight at Toronto only for so long before they start throwing it back. Notice that Douglas's cutting of University/Community College affiliations didn't touch Humber College - Guelph. Douglas is well aware of how hard the Toronto political machine bumfucked the Provincial Conservatives after Mike Harris. Rogers will get their way - with help from tax payers.

Bloody favoritism!

Doug received zero support from Toronto ( well Toronto proper prior to amalgamation) so I don't think he really cares....

As for Rogers, no comment until more information is available.

I've been to Amsterdam, and it's tacky as all hell. Never bothered partaking in any hobbying there either. I got dragged there by a friend while we were in Europe years ago and no desire to go back to that city. He did partake and the ladies weren't into being kissed and everything is covered. Girl he went with even complained that he touched her hair. Sorry, but you can get far better in Toronto the way things are. .... And besides, the last thing we need is more loud, obnoxious Yank tourists wandering around the city.

I read that Ford does have the power (maybe) under some obscure weasel clause in the law to force the development.

However, he doesn't have the power to force the City of Toronto to provide water or take the sewage away, nor to connect to Toronto Hydro.

So have fun building a casino without water.

Ford needs to learn that the citizens of Toronto (myself included) do not want to see a casino built downtown and he needs to learn to respect the will of the people.

I’m not a sports fan but when did either of those three teams win the championship?

And dare I say both Trudeau and Ford have a greater chance of being elected a third term than any of those three teams do of winning.

The Ontario Place property is provincially owned (if I'm wrong, please correct).

The Jays won back-to-back World Series titles in 1992 and 1993; the Leafs...well last won the Stanley Cup in 1967. The Raptors is the only professional team that has yet to win a league championship.

Ontario place would be a nice site for a new ball park.

Maybe Ford will plant a casino where the skydome is/was.

I don't care of a casino is built in downtown TO as I rarely venture down there (pain in the ass to get there!).

There is a casino at Woodbine and that super casino is being built in Pickering. There is only so much money around to be blown at casino's.

So WTF? They gonna tear down SkyDome? For its cost it should last over 100 years. What a stupendous waste!

It is not exactly mayonnaise, it is more like Miracle Whip.

What is the price of Marijuana in Amsterdam compared with
Canada like? Last time I check, pre-tax price of legal weeds here
is $8.33 per gram which is higher than the average price before
legalization. Our government is now world's biggest drug tycoon.

They should have smoking Cafe's like in Amsterdam, where people can smoke and buy canabis. People that don't want to smoke don't have to go.

Speaking as someone currently in Amsterdam, no. It’s not even close. Ok, we have legal weed now, but the commercial sex scene is not even in the same ballpark. Currently, I can walk less than ten minutes from my hotel and get a blowjob (and sometimes full sex) for €50. I can get an hour of basically whatever I want for €150-200. There are ladies to suit just about any kink or preference. There are girls who work starting as early as 7 or 8 AM (though few and far between at that hour), and night shift girls who work until 3 or 4 in the morning. It’s functionality 24/7. I’ve been here basically two full days now, I’ve already been with two girls and I’m about to go out and see a third.

Now, that’s not to say the escort scene in Toronto is at all bad, but to compare it to the convenience of Amsterdam’s red light district is just wrong. Apples and oranges, really. There are lots of great ladies in Toronto and lots of fun to be had, but you don’t have the ability to just decide “y’know, I could really go for a good blowjob right about now” and being able to actually do it within ten minutes like I can here.

Edit: and yeah, it’s not mayo they put on fries, it’s fritessaus, which is similar but much lighter. You can also get other sauces like curry sauce, sate sauce, or your classic ketchup.
