You and Bud both make some reasonable deductions, but it's very important to remember that being crazy doesn't mean you're stupid, nor does being clever or smart make you sane, or give you even common sense. What intelligent, sensible, rational thinkers — people like us — can know of the ideation of someone who sends death-threats by making elaborate objects and posting them in the mail, is very, very limited.
