RIP, he was definitely one of the greats, he won the scorig championship 4 times, only Gretzky, Lemieux, Howe, Jagr and Esposito have won it more times than he.

He is credited with inventing the curved hockey stick blade.

The only player to have tools named after him.

Stan Mikita was a very intelligent man, born in Slovakia, his family arrived in Canada to escape the Nazi takeover of 1938.

After his hockey career was over he prospered. He invested in plastic containers, everything from Tupperware to Husky. Tim Horton bought in on Mikita's doughnut shop - he had a sense of humour. He'll be missed.

Mikita power tools is a Japanese company, not sure if Stan ever promoted their products.

Kinda curious how you know he had some Mongol blood in him.
His eyebrows and forehead. The Mongols didn't stop at Russia, they advanced further west and Slovakia and Hungary took it on the chin. Poland also but to a lesser extent. Europe got lucky, The Great Khan died and the Mongols withdrew. In between they had plenty of time to spread their seed.

He's not the only one, Hungarian cellist Janos Starker also had Mongol blood.

Here ya go shack, Stan Makita had Mongol blood. The Earth has had several climatic changes in the last 2000 years, in the 8th Century the planet warmed. This allowed the Viking and Mongol populations to grow and to expand beyond their regions.

As long as they did not specifically reference Stan, you have proved nothing. It is speculation.

The first great Eastern European born player in the NHL. Sits 14th all time in regular seasons points scored. Was the inspiration for the Stastny brothers to defect to Quebec in 1980. Sad day but glad his suffering is over. RIP.
