LOL.....they are talking about love and inclusion on that CP24 feed.

I wonder how much I'd be loved and included if I showed up in one of these hats :D

Im sure the anti police stance is a big part of lower attendance
Gay Pride was started as a response to police crackdowns on bath houses in the early 80's, it's always been political. And the handling of the Bruce McArthur case has made matters worse.

On a lighter side, did anyone see a 6' 6" dude in lederhosen? He's not gay, just a party animal. Never misses the parade.

I wouldn’t completely say so, maybe for those not in the LGBT community. I for one didn’t go out today because it’s cold, and don’t want to be rained on. But either way the village is definitely not lacking participants
I know a number of straight people who intended to come out, just for the party atmosphere, but cancelled because it's cold and wet. This weekend is usually scorching hot and sunny.

You probably never had the urge to have a straight parade.
We (queer people) march because it is still political. Its not just rainbow flag, its the fact that as a bisexual person I can still be kill in a lot of countries. My queerness is political
Okay, but why are you not marching in parades in those countries then??

Or are you??

Maybe attendance was down, but vendor participation was way up! Way to crowed for me, peddlers peddling thier food or stuff or whatever. And the public drinking in the streets just means the drunks are more noticeable. Maybe that’s a pride thing too, be Proud while being a drunk asshole! Maybe they should have thier own float for the drunks next year. They could have one fall off and get run over every now and then.
It's called a party.... why the hate?

Its primarily because gay culture now has the heavy grip and influence on culture, government, religion and business. They and their supporters know this hence the diminishing need for public events such as this one. It goes beyond the necessary acceptance that they needed and its to the point of it being forced upon the general public.
or maybe it's because the weather sucked.... and of course the Premier was absent.

One possible cause of the dwindling attendance could
be people are getting tired of excessive male nudity. A little
bit of that is fine but spectators like me get upset when there
are only sights of sausage but no vagina. There has to be a
way to encourage the ladies in the parade to show more skin.
