Your post makes it unclear whether you're agreeing to use the so-called "updated" numbers -- since your post included quotes based on calculations that you say are outdated.

I guess I made this too difficult. Let's see if I can simplify it.

Here is Frankfooter's description of the bet:
Using partial quotes and taking them out of context as you just did is incredibly dishonest.
It really shows how low you've fallen.
Its quite easy for anyone to click on the link that goes back to my original post, where its easy to see that you took one sentence out of context.
The post you quoted states that your claims are irrelevant to the bet, all that post does is show that you've been trying the same bait and switch game for over a year now.

This was the bet.
http://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/global-temperature/

If that's the chart you're saying will hit 0.83 at the end of 2015, we definitely have a bet.
I'm perfectly happy with a third party clicking on the link in that bet and stating the number that NASA reported for the 2015 global temp anomaly, as we both know that number is 0.86ºC, which means you lost the bet.

Good. We're both agreed that the 2015 temperature anomaly on that graph is 0.86ºC.

The question is does that meet the threshold that was needed in order for Frankfooter to win the bet? And the real issue, I believe, is that Frankfooter can't do basic addition at a Grade 5 level.

http://www.k5learning.com/free-math-worksheets/fifth-grade-5/decimals-addition-subtraction

Let's test my assumption.

Frankfooter says we have to apply the numbers from the graph in this link to the bet, which was a year-over-year increase of 0.15ºC from 2014 to 2015.

At the time we made the bet, the 2014 temperature anomaly was reported as 0.68ºC. However, that number has been "updated" (in Frankfooter's words) and NASA added another 0.05ºC to the 2014 temperature anomaly.

Thus, to determine whether the 0.86ºC temperature anomaly in 2015 met the "updated" threshold that confirms a 0.15ºC year-over-year increase, you have to be able to add the following:

(0.68 + 0.05) + 0.15 = ?

Frankfooter, shows us that you can actually do addition at a Grade 5 level. Add up those numbers and tell us what number you get. We'll then ask a third-party judge to compare the result with the 0.86ºC temperature anomaly in 2015.

(I'm almost ready to make a side bet with someone that Frankfooter will evade the question because he can't do the math. But let's not be that cynical. :p)

If Frankfooter can't add those numbers correctly, I am definitely adding this to his "greatest hits" on global warming.

By the way, anyone looking for more evidence that Groggy/Frankfooter is a total bullshitter might want to check out this exchange.

He is now in his third year of trying to argue that 0.13 is a bigger number than 0.15. That's not just wrong -- it's insane.
There is no reference there to either of those numbers....
There is "no reference" in the bet to a 0.15 C increase?

Here's what Frankfooter conceded in a previous post about the exact same bet.

It was a year-over-year increase of 0.15ºC of the 2014 anomaly from the time of the bet.

Out of context quotes from two separate posts only shows you are dishonest.
None of those posts say what you claim they do.

Post #2 in full:

Your claims about those posts are as dishonest as your refusal to honour the bet you lost.

I knew it!

Exactly as I predicted, Frankfooter evaded the question about whether he could add (0.68 + 0.05) + 0.15. A student in Grade 5 should be able to answer that question, but apparently it's too challenging for Frankfooter.

OK, let's try an easier one and see if Frankfooter can do any better.

The "updated" graph that Frankfooter wants to use shows a temperature anomaly of 0.86ºC for the year 2015. It also shows a temperature anomaly of 0.73ºC for the year 2014.

Frankfooter, tell us what the numerical difference is between 0.86 and 0.73.

I'm guessing he won't be able to answer this one, either.

Another evasion! I am definitely bookmarking this page for future reference.

So far, here are the Grade 5-level math problems that Groggy/Frankfooter couldn't answer:

(0.68 + 0.05) + 0.15 = ?

0.86 - 0.73 = ?

I'll see if I can give Franky a fighting chance by creating one that is even easier.

Frankfooter, consider the following equation: X + 0.15 = Y. If the value of X increases by 0.05, what happens to the value of Y?

Surely, anyone should be able to answer this one. Yet, if the current trend holds, Frankfooter will duck this one, as well.

(If I can find a fair way to ask the question, I might try to find a Grade 2-level question that may be better aligned with Franky's math skills. :thumb:)

Meanwhile, for those keeping track of the contradictions in Frankfooter's total bullshit.

Its actually the chart that you chose for the bet.
The answer to the question is that you don't understand the scientific process, didn't read the details on the NASA website where they stated they update their numbers often and then whined when they did as they stated they would.
Franky says it's the same graph and that it's a different graph.

Busted again!

Please do.
I'm not interested in your diversions and math quizzes, since none of them are relevant to the bet.
The bet was simple, we bet on what number NASA would report for 2015's global temp anomaly.

If that's the chart you're saying will hit 0.83 at the end of 2015, we definitely have a bet.
And as you clearly noted in this thread, those numbers show you lost the bet.

Same, live updated chart.
Same link, with constantly updated data based on the latest numbers.
You still don't understand it, do you?

The temperature increase in 2015 wasn't "relevant" to our bet on how much the temperature would increase in 2015?

Hilarious.

Come on, Franky, the calculations will settle the bet once and for all. They're only at a Grade 5 level. Surely, you can answer one of them (or use Google calculator).

To repeat:
To repeat, the post you linked to doesn't say what you claim it says.
You sir, are bullshitting.

This is the post:
Eveyone know you lost on the climate change bet to Moviefan and you welch on the bet!!
Hey pornaddict, explain to me why you think that moviefan won the bet on 2015's temp, when we bet whether it would go to 0.83ºC and the temp actually went to 0.86ºC.

All you have to do to confirm that is click on the link in moviefan's original bet post and read the number off of the chart.
http://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/global-temperature/

If that's the chart you're saying will hit 0.83 at the end of 2015, we definitely have a bet.
No mention of your two numbers, only another reference to the bet you made and lost.

Another elementary school math equation was evaded by Frankfooter.

Unbelievable.

As promised, the previous page of this thread has been bookmarked. I'm sure there will be plenty of times in the months and years ahead when we'll want to laugh at how Frankfooter was totally stumped by some Grade 5 math problems.

I could add more to his "greatest hits" (including the post above), as well, but I can't be bothered. If I included all of his inane comments on this topic, we'd end up with something longer than War and Peace (that's an old Russian novel, Frankfooter).

Another attempt at bait and switch by moviefan.
In which he tries to pretend a bet on a simple number was in fact a bet on his imaginary math problems.

Simple bet, simple way to see who won.
