Some SP's offer discounts, some SP's offer grandfathered rates.

But do any SP's price discriminate i.e. they offer different prices to different customers?

One of the reasons I ask is because some people imply gifting an SP will cause her to raise her rates. I don't buy this argument but I wonder if an SP sees a single client is well off OR she really isn't fond of him but willing to tolerate him for more money, would she price discriminate?

Just curiosity on my part.

"Some SP's offer discounts"
"do any SP's offer different prices to different customers?"
Explain how that question even makes sense.

You are not going to get a discount from one of those who beg for gifts and/or think they have golden pussies and guys need them. I think I got a deal from an independent once, but I didn't ask for it.

If some clients get a discount / grandfathered rates while others pay the regular rate then that would already be price discrimination. I find nothing wrong with that because girls already "discriminate" by screening, limiting how many they see in a day or not seeing a particular race or weight.

I am ruling out discounts/grandfathering as forms of price discrimination because I already know they exist. Just wondering if a lady would ever bump up the rate for specific clients only for the reasons listed. And I'm thinking more on the bump, not the discount side cause again, discounts are known to be done.

So, just try to think of some of the technical problems here. Does a client go in, see an SP and she says: "Oh yuck, you're $50 above normal rates" and then the client says " D'uhhh... OK"? Or does a client text/email to arrange an appointment and the SP responds with: "For you - $50 premium over advertised rates".

Rates for an SP at an agency are known. Independents usually advertise rates. If a person is asked to pay above this - how many do you think would accept this vs saying "no thanks"?

If rates are not known - then how would a client know there was price discrimination?

There would be two different kind of clients:
Non-idiot client: He realizes that the escort is trying to rip him off by asking more money than her posted rate and does not see her again.
Idiot client: He is already giving expensive gifts, gift cards, tips, etc. so the escort does not need to ask for extra money anyway.

Possible but more likely the situation is the guy sees her, he has a great time, books again and she says no unless he pays more.

The other situation is for ladies who don't list prices - you email/text and they quote then. This may involve a new client where she throws out a random rate or a repeat client where round 2 price is much higher than round 1. No basis for comparison because her rates aren't posted.

Most guys would say FO but I imagine the person who buys in is basically infatuated and loved his first experience.

Yet people make the point that an SP who is frequently gifted will raise her rates.

The SP would probably be considered opportunistic as she's bumping her rates despite getting gifts.

Agencies and indys usually give notice that the are raising rates and / or previous clients are grandfathered. I guess there are girls that don't grandfather rates and clients either have to accept or decline. There might also be girls that say that since you're black, asian, etc. you pay X and since you're white you pay Y. I doubt that happens or we'd be hearing about it in reviews. I think most girls will just not book with blacks, asians, etc.

The guys linking girls that are frequently gifted with rising rates have nothing else better to do than complain. They have zero evidence of how many gifts a girl actually receives or why a girl's rates are rising.

A way to avoid ladies who price discriminate is see those who openly list their rates be it either independent or agency, but this can happen in any business transaction as well

I always assumed so.

I have two clients for which I do the exact same work. One is very easy going and the other a huge pain in the ass. I charge the second one 25% more. As an independent business person it is my decision.

However I do not advertise rates. If I did I suppose I could only discount, not elevate.

to the op - lots of sps have " normal" rates that they charge their regulars . I have also noticed that girls charge new clients different rates because they are new and want to make sure the guy is not a a**hole. pardon my French.

This is because in the last recent years LOTS, and I mean LOTS of clients are negotiating rates because girls are advertising $60, $80, $ 100 specials ; some girls even go as low as 50$ for a quickie . This was not the case 5-6 years ago. I remember when there was no such thing as a fifteen min rate ; lots of girls used to only do hh and hrs because guys were willing to pay the prices . Now because of all the different rates being posted on backpage clients feel that they can pay whatever they want because it is what they can afford.

Some girls may accept this - however I know quite a few - myself included that will block you ( call us uptight if you want ) if you even think about negotiating rates because to the girls who are well reviewed and take pride in their work do not want to entertain clients who negotiate because it shows a little bit of their personality without even actually meeting them .

As an sp we set our rates & we expect them to be respected - if they are not , how can anyone have a good time?

So to answer your question - yes some girls charge regulars different rates then new clients. I wouldn't call it discrimination - I call it seeing if the person is serious or not. Nobody likes their time wasted.

Happy hobbying gents!

I've had SP's offer reduced rates, but only after we've had sessions together
multiple times and established trust.

but the question is - did she tell you out of the blue or did u ask ? It seems a little strange that a girl would be like " oh hey ive seen u before, instead of 120 hh ill do 80 hh ! " LOL
correct me if I'm wrong.

I had a regular who used to offer specials. I saw her often enough that she always offered me the special rate. She offered me extra time we would sit and chat, but that turned into her hitting the bong.
I wasn’t impressed and one day I asked her not to do that around me.
Next time I booked I expected the usual rate. But she textd an hour before the appt to tell me rate went up.
I said no thank you. Thought that would be the end but she kept texting.
She said Wth, does 40 really make a difference?
I’d given her free rides, too many dinners, delivered supplies, taken her shopping and brought too many gifts. And she wants to up the rate, hours after I booked?
She said it’s ok, she’ll stick to the old rate.
Against my better judgement I agreed.
So, 40 min into the hour she was done with me. texting someone else even though I tried repeatedly to get her attention.
I gave up, dressed quietly and left.
Found new regulars within a week. Now she’s sending pics and saying how she appreciates the outfits and boots I got her.

Sorry to hear that TFZL1 - however did she ask you to take her shopping and buy her gifts or did u just do it as a kind gesture? I'm not justifying what she did - just trying to understand.

So you seen her multiple times for a "special" rate because you were a regular , u had a little tiff because u asked her not to hit her bong around u while u guys were engaging in small talk & then she told u her rate went up but u didn't want to pay it for the simple reason that you were a regular and used to a specific rate ; then when u had an appointment she gave u the cold shoulder and basically ended the hr session after forty minutes???

Sounds to me that neither of u wanted to meet but u went through with it anyway... That is very unprofessional of her on her part - sounds like she knew u would come because u were a regular.

I don't see how an agency or indy can price discriminate when most of them publicly state their rates.

As for an indy who doesn't state rates and just wings it, I've never seen someone who doesn't state rates on their site. And I'm in no mood to play games with hidden prices.

As for an SP or agency secretly grandfathering old rates, who knows. I saw an indy years back who jacked up her rates $50 but she was fine with me paying her old rate. Don't know if she did that for all old clients or select ones.

I also never disclose my handle to any agency. So I've never tried asking for/being offered old rates.

there are lots of sps out there who don't have websites that advertise their rates and services.. Some do, some don't . For me - if you are from a review board I require knowing your handle prior to booking - otherwise I will not book u. I have turned down members on both boards because they would not disclose their handle. I find it comforting having some kind of idea who I am meeting. Especially if they are going to post about our encounter.

At the end of the day it is up to the girl to decide what she wants to charge - she does not have to accommodate you based on what you are used to or what other girls are charging. I live by the saying I am in competition with no one.

In your case @ occasionally it seems that you are very lucky to have met a girl who respects her regulars and takes pride in keeping them. She also respected you by letting you know her rates went up but she is willing to keep the old rate.. kudos to u! :) u must be one of a kind lol.

I have a client who paid half hour, but stayed 50-55 minutes always. I'm not a clockwatcher so 5-10 minutes ok, but 25 is not specially if you pay half hour only. So after a 3rd. session he called me, and I told him I don't do half hour anymore, so if you want to stay here you must pay an hour. He accepted it and now he stays here one hour but sometimes leave a little earlier. I don't think it was unfair and everybody happy! :) Otherwise I never offered and I never will offer any discount. I believe the Canada Goose business plan. Their jacket is never on sale. If you need me you have to pay the full price. Serious buyers are never happy with discounts, because they believe they overpayed you in the past, they thinking you desperately seeking clients, and they never come back again. Discount is good for an Indian rugstore, but not in this business.

I don't understand escorts who complain about clients who don't respect their time. When the time is up and the guy doesn't look like he is leaving any time soon, you tell him to leave. Why is that so difficult?
