LOLIt would be a lot more realistic to train a special forces operator to teach high school than the reverse. Maybe make teaching high school an extension of Hell week.
How about we just move all schools to military bases?a SEAL would do, not a police officer with no balls

Cadet Orange expects teachers be commandos while at the same time eliminating public education..."you are a very funny guy Cruz, dat is why I'm going to kill you laast"... I can see that going over well. Are the teachers still allowed to carry assault rifles when they get browned out? Don't expect anything to come from this, the NRA and GOP are happily married. But Trump expects teachers to do it.
And he's not a security guard, he was a fully trained, licensed and experienced police officer.
and a sweet 75% of his salary pensionHe took the oath and got the badge... and he didn't even try. The Coward of Broward County is the apt title. He now has the rest of his miserable life to think about it.

Unfortunately, 17 people (and their families) won't have that privilege. He took the oath and got the badge... and he didn't even try. The Coward of Broward County is the apt title. He now has the rest of his miserable life to think about it.
Wait for the case to work itself out, he's at least guilty of dereliction of duty.and a sweet 75% of his salary pension
I'm not 100% sure, but I think cops can only get fired for that, but not have their pension $$$$ taken away.Wait for the case to work itself out, he's at least guilty of dereliction of duty

A lawsuit however, brought by the surviving mothers, might be another story
Says the guy who just admitted to thinking that a SEAL on campus is a good idea.now you're being dramatic

fuck me! i suggested the whole U fucking SA army should be based on every high school, not just SEALSays the guy who just admitted to thinking that a SEAL on campus is a good idea.
How about making 2 more cops scapegoats??There's a lot of blame to go around here. The Resource Officer definitely didn't perform as expected, but then neither did the FBI, or the background check system. Making this one guy the scapegoat is a little too easy
Here's some news clips of teachers arming themselves voluntarily well before this latest shooting:

Arming people without proper training is not really all that useful. I really doubt the schools are providing weekly target practice for those teachers..... which is what is required to stay sharp and combat ready. For those who don't read entire threads, here it is again
Okay, but lets say you're a teacher in the US right now, and your school is getting shot up by a shooter, would you want to be armed or unarmed??Arming people without proper training is not really all that useful.
Also, just because some schools are doing it does not mean it is a good idea
