If anti gun people actually bothered to take an interest in history, they would know that Eli Remington was a devoutly religious man. The most prolific gun designer in history, John Browning was a Mormon. Evil people. Just evil.
The danger of going down that road is the assumption that they would automatically be ok with modern non-military weaponry. Eg: William Ruger, also a giant in the US gun industry, had views about clip capacity that horrified many in the gun lobby.

Remington does not produce hand guns, hunting rifles and shotguns are what they make. As a hunter I’ve never been a big fan of their products. I’ve yet to hear of anyone walking into a 7-11 with a model 700 tucked in their pant leg to rob the store, nor are these rifles easily concealed. Focus on the people who are the problem and not the instruments they use to perpetuate the crime.

FYI - They actually do make handguns. Not sure what percentage or margins they contributed. Their best seller was the AR platform semi auto hunting rifles like the Bushmaster. Unfortunately, this was also their most infamous model following Sandy Hook.

Focus on the people who are the problem and not the instruments they use that makes it so much easier to perpetuate the crime.
You're welcome.

By the way, since the crime does not last indefinitely, "perpetrate" works better than "perpetuate".

You're welcome.

No it doesn't, and that's despite the fact there are over 10 million guns in Canada. There are 2 million guns in Switzerland with about 8 million people. Finland and Norway have high gun ownership rates too. A large number of guns is not directly correlated to the murder rate.

You're plain ignorant on the issue, along with the vast majority of anti gun people who like to oppose an issue they know very little about. Gun ownership has been INCREASING, yet murder rates have been DECREASING in Canada and the United States. Learn to use the internet and do some research and find out the FACTS from government published data instead of being gullible and believing what the mass media feeds you. The truth is out there.
Damn right Poorboy.

You are absolutely wrong. Remington has re-entered the handgun market with their 1911 variants.

It is weird. You'd think the opposite would be true. lol
Well, when there isn't someone in power who threatens the Second Amendment on a regular basis, the implied decrease in supply ceases to exist.

What I find actually weird are all the anti-gun Hollywood hypocrites who, without firearms, would be fake shooting each other with finger guns for dramatic effect.

This wasn't some kind of "moral victory" for the anti-gun crowd; Remington was in trouble long before any of the recent shootings; their QC took a nosedive when Freedom Arms purchased them and subsequently lost their foothold in the marketplace. Nothing to see here.

I stand corrected, I didn’t realize they were producing pistols again. It wasn’t t my intention to sound glib about the matter either.
