A guy at work takes a dump in our washroom everyday!

Hahaha, funniest thread. If it smells that bad, perhaps you should recommend him to improve his diet and do a colon cleanse. Can't blame the guy for it.
Diet and colon health does indeed play a big role in the smell of what comes out.

Amazes me how people can be so inconsiderate.

Simple approach: leave the stall and washroom in the same condition as you would like it when you want to use it.

Easy. Simple.

If you can take a dump in a poorly ventilated washroom with no air freshener or anything else to combat the smell, and you can consistently leave without leaving any odour behind, you are a medical marvel. People poop, it smells. Guy is cleaning up after himself, he's not doing anything wrong. 4 pages of this shit! Lol.

the real problem here is the locked doors and necessary key entry.
which means as one leaves they lock everything behind including the smells.
The doors were not open long enough for the smells to dissipate between the guy finishing his business, washing his hands and exiting.
with keys involved, hopefully everyone washes their hands after as well.

Ok how big is this washroom? If you could provide measurements, it would be helpful. I might recommend knocking down a few walls to expand the size in order to allow the smell to dissipate faster.

Maybe you could bring a drill to the office before anyone else gets there and drill holes into the wall to the exterior (or inner office space) to allow the smell to escape. I've done it before.

After hours install an extraction fan and flex duct it directly to the offender's cubicle

I was in the same predicament years back when a co-worker had body odor and he also funked up the washrooms for a good 10-15 minutes after he used it. Several of us got together and hatched a plan. We got some liquid ass from the joke store, it is a bottle of liquid that spells like poop. We put some in the washroom after he used it and the place smelled for 3 days. The plan had flaws in it and we had to tone it down. We watered the liquid ass down and put a drop in his waste paper basket each day. There was a faint smell of poop around his desk. A week later there was a snow storm expected the next day and we knew that most people would not leave for lunch. In the lunch room that day we the co-conspirators discussed the possible reason why this person would stink up a washroom like that. One guy suggested that he may have anal leakage ( a real medical condition ) and one way to elevate this was to have an enema in the morning so that he would not carry and package to work with him. The stinker was in the lunchroom listening to all this. Even though he probably did not have anal leakage we noticed that he never again used the washroom for a bag one while he was at work. It was probably his diet that caused his body odor and huge stinky bowel movements.

I'm pretty sure anyone in HR would say this is NOT the way to solve the problem. The end does not justify the means.

I've been to a couple of places where the autoflush sensor (I guess) is based on movement so the damn thing flushes 5-6 times in a short span. Maybe installing for some automatic courtesy flushes?

Agreed. It was a nasty, secret conspiracy to harass someone and deliberately cause them discomfort.

This thread is the dumbest thing ever. The guy is using the washroom for exactly what it's meant for. I mean, suck it up man!

That's what he's doing - through his nose! I say keep it down (puke).

I used to work with a guy who liked spicy food. Every morning we had to deal with his rank stench wafting from the washroom. Maybe it's just that I grew up on a farm, and so can put it out of mind.

This could conceiveably become the longest thread ever. Beating the last person wins thread.

I didn't read the whole thread, only page 1 but on one side i find it odd one guy enjoy shitting elsewhere than at home. Personally i HATE shitting elsewhere. What if you dirt the inside of the toilet with sticky shit, or what if they use some cheap toilet paper (i have my own favorite brand) , sometimes in public places the toilet is dirty. And even tough its less anoying when its a place you can lock yourself, personally i can't shit in a place where its just a small cabine in a bigger room. So yeah i find it odd that this guy enjoy shitting at work.

But then again on the other side, can you really blame him to take a shit in the toilet? Thats pretty much the purpose of that thing...

I avoid public washrooms as much as possible too. I don't think this is about the pooper enjoying his daily crap. I guess that's just his schedule. I know there have been a few times where I didn't go in the morning and was forced to go at work. I have seen some people go regular as clockwork at work. It's just how it is.
