This has been happening for at least a year actually, but no one really knew who it was or if it was even by the same person. Also, the washrooms are single-toilet only and entered only with a key, so only one person can be inside at the same time. Furthermore, no one really talked about it, especially since most of us don't always go to the same washroom all the time, until recently when we found out who it was. We were suspicious about him for a few weeks, but eventually we were able to deduce it was him due to the freshness of the washroom before he enters it (at usually the same time in the morning) to the obvious evidence after he exits it. And indeed we know now that it happens routinely by him. So how do we deal with this? Should someone among us develop the courage to tell him to take his dump before going to work? And what if he refuses? Should we notify our boss in that case? No one can stand the aftereffects he creates every single god damn morning.

Ummm, that's what a toilet is for but if you must leave a note. "We know who you are. Stop stinking up the joint!!!"
No it is not coed, but often employees use either one without any complaints from anyone since only one goes in at a time. If the culprit was female, I would still have the same problem, though the approach might be different (but I don't know the proper approach in either case).
There's no exhaust fan in there, or freshener, but I don't think they would help. I think this guy eats a lot, and all the wrong foods too.

If your company has the resources consider getting a self-cleaning
toilet (bidet?). Some of those toilets come with a fan to suck out

So you are suggesting that no one should talk to him, or even let him know that we know? Trust me, if you entered the washroom 10 minutes after he left, you couldn't stay there for more than 5 seconds. No exhaust fan in the washroom? That’s a toxic work environment. Take it up with management.

Years ago, when I was a lot younger we used to go camping a lot and have to use the outdoor "porta potty" at the camp ground when nature called. Anyway, I used the women's porta potty" instead of the mens because there is definitely a big difference in the foul stench. The mens was just one million times worse and it's just a known fact that the women's outhouse toilet smelled like roses in comparison.
Switch places with me for one week, and tell me if you still have the same answer.

So place the bottle anonymously on his office desk and hopes he gets the hint? And if he doesn't? And why should we have to pay for this? But if it works, it might be worth it.
Don't just leave the bottle there... write an anonymous note stating what it's for and why he needs to use it. Signed by "The Entire Office".

Toilet is for pissing AND shitting. Deal with it. Some people don’t have one regular dump each day at the same time. Maybe his got a bowel disease of some sort. Suck it up and deal with it. A stinky washroom never killed anyone, and confronting him about this”terrible transgression” is a bit cruel and really selfish. Would you rather he did it in his pants and walked around the office???
Tell your boss to buy a commercial/industrial quality air freshener. Or plan your washroom break ahead of stinky. lol
