Do yourself a favour and avoid foodora. Absolutely terrible customer service when there is a problem. I was a fairly regular customer for over a year, then a delivery wasn’t delivered. To summarise the various exchanges between their so called helpline and me:
Foodora: Are you sure the food was not delivered?
Me: no, the food has not been delivered. We’ve been home all this time.
Foodora: Are you sure? Our courier says he delivered the food.
Me: No, we did not receive any food.
Foodora: Our driver says he delivered the food to a white house.
Me: Our house isn’t white. We haven’t received the delivery.
Foodora: Are you sure? Our driver says he delivered the food and our GPS shows he drove by your house.
Me: yes, I’m quite sure that our house is not white in colour and that we did not receive any delivery. Our neighbour’s house isn’t white either.
Finally, I gave up and wrote to the company (Gave up on Toronto - head office is Germany). Bad or slow service is one thing, scamming a customer is another thing altogether. Keep in mind that I was a fairly regular customer - with a over a dozen deliveries in my previous orders history. 2 days later I received an email that said they sympathize but would not issue a refund because their driver said he delivered the food but they offered a $10 credit on my next order. I called VISA to dispute the charge, then wrote a bad review on google (which had similar, bad reviews for Toronto - at least four or five within a month of my experience). Then I copied a link to the review to their head office. Another day, and Foodora refunded my money, making it seem like they were doing me a huge favour. Later that week, ALL reviews on google disappeared. There are Foodora services restaurant reviews but no reviews on the actual Foodora delivery service. They got google to delete them.
