Looks like a weekend layover in Ottawa coming up. Never been so looking forward to it. Just had a day layover in QC so I went to Old Quebec which was enjoyable and educational.

Must be lots of interesting stuff in Ottawa

What should I do?

It would be nice to find a weekend GF. It happened in NYC. A cute blond from England. Nothing sexual happened as I do not like forcing such issues and she never hinted at any thing so just a kiss when I took her to the train station.

I will share my experience for those interested as I did in QC including any hobbying.

family was there recently.
See Parliament Hill, museums. On PQ side, go to casino at night; don't believe much to do at night.

Byward Market. It's touristy, but a few good places to eat and walk around. Parliament Buildings obviously, the Mint and the National Air and Space Museum.

The museums are world class: the Canadian War Museum which JTK mentioned above, also the National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian Museum of History.

Also if you are interested in such things the RCMP Remount Centre out in Pakenham

Thx. Talking about locks, I hope to stop and see some on my way up. You are saying there are some in Ottawa?

Sleep.

Seriously, I usually attend a concert at the National Arts Center, the acoustics are vastly superior to Roy Thomson Hall. If you're into Indian Food go to The Glebe, you won't be starved for choice.

They spent a fortune redesigning RT to improve acoustics.

If they have a violinist performing I am in.

One thing about such venues are the he babes. They dress so nice you want to reverse massage them all.

Sex is available in Ottawa. Go visit Revenue Canada and no need to ask them to screw you, they do it without asking.

You gotta go to the Mayfair Theatre!
I like the Museum of Science & Technology myself.
Bonnechere caves.
If you venture into Quebec again, the Museum of Civilization and go Topkarting!

-Have a nice stake dinner at Al's Stake House on Elgin St. All the locals know this is the best restaurant for fine stake dining, open since 1967. Your server will even bring a tray for you to select from the day's finest cuts and it will be prepared to your specs. https://www.alssteakhouse.ca/
Idiocracy is here. Enjoy your stake dinner in the most dull capital city on earth.

Not much to do.....go see a movie maybe? You can find some decent food. Otherwise, walk about a bit, and maybe take one of those shuttles and walk around Gatineau if you like nature.

UPDATE.

Ottawa has lost it's superstar chef. At the time of Y2K,Rob Rainford's Texas Smokehouse in The Glebe was a city hot spot. It got him his own Food Network show License to Grill. Since then he's moved back to Toronto and now runs the kitchen at The Old Mill as well as teaching at his alma mater: The School of Culinary Arts at George Brown College.

There are a number of twitter accounts promoting Ottawa and what to do each weekend. OttawaCitizen should include a list. Also OttawaStart, OttawaTourism, etc.

Thankyou Sir. Indeed informative.

If I get lucky I will find weekend GF. It has happened before . It is a matter of numbers, be around enough women then someone has to like you. Matter of luck and numbers and never happens when you go looking for it.
