Tons to do as has been stated. I stayed at the old jail which is now a cool hostel. Fun watching changing of guards

GL finding a weekend GF

As you state, it never happens when you look for it as the stars have to align, so do something , be active, and it may happen by good luck . Dress nice and smile a lot and just be friendly. If you meet someone interesting look directly in their eyes for a few seconds and listen to them as though everything the say is important. Girls fall for it.

Am I right IfYouSeekAmy ?

Enjoy. You got a hard and important job. Everything I got has been on a truck. If trucks stop so does society

Drove up highway 15 thru Smith Falls to see Rideau Canal.

There are locks as soon as you get on highway and a dam . I think the purpose of the dam is to raise the water level so the Rideau flows away from lake until it gets to a divide where it naturally flows to Ottawa.

But I think I am wrong.

I know there is a divide where the change in elevation makes water flow the other way.

I find the locks confusing as they indicate the Rideau is flowing away from the lake . Perhaps my mistake is assuming rivers always flow into a lake.

Can anyone explain the flow of the Rideau canal?

If you’re dead set on the weekend GF idea, spend some time hanging out at the Laff (a dive bar in the market). If that doesn’t work out, head literally across the street to Barefax, enjoy a few dances, then walk over to Brass if they’re still open, get a massage, then walk over to Barbarellas (about three blocks away) and get a few more dances. If you get tired and it’s karaoke night and you’re relatively open-minded, head back in the direction you just came from and have a drink and sing a few songs at Swizzles. It’s a dive gay bar, but on karaoke nights there are often dancers and MAs there after their shifts.

So I got lucky and it happened .

I was at the museum of man and standing on a satellite map of Canada embedded in the floor

I was noticing all the attractive women when I spotted a mulatto. The most striking thing about her was a pleasant smile that seemed fixed to her face . As she walked over to the map I asked her if I could show her something. We discussed the seeming impact craters. After 20 minutes she turned and said goodbye with her hand facing me and waving and a full smile.

It may seem odd but a full exposure of the palm is a subconscious way of females expressing interest. Do not ask me why . The wave along with the smile seemed strong signals of interest so I walked up to her after she had turned to go and invited her for coffee

As it turned out she had her eye on me and when she found out I was a nice guy ...

For the rest of the day and night we were walking around Ottawa. Anyone spotting us would of thought we were a couple

Cool

Local to the area but not from Ottawa. As to what happened later is irrelevant, and not something I brag about.

This thread is not a brag.

My point is by being proactive you can get dates.

Do not go expecting it to happen everytime or you will end up frustrated. It usually happens when you are not looking for it. You have to be conscious of signals and doing the little things like opening the door or getting her chair, which I did in the coffee shop , goes a long way with woman even in these days of liberation.

Some guys like to be more aggressive and behave like a P/U artist. That is not my style.
