And again you are saying laws are useless because people will find way to break them. It is like saying speed limits are pointless because people will still be able to step on the gas or child molestation shouldn't be illegal because people will find way to do it.

The laws are there to help the majority and allow the authorities to prosecute those who choose to break them.
And again, you're acting like laws don't already exist; like buying a gun in the United States is as easy as buying toilet paper. It isn't, not through legitimate channels.

Again, what proposed change could have stopped this shooter?

I'm an anti-gun guy, but I have to say I very much enjoy all the gun debate stuff which always happens after a mass killing.

I find amazing all the pro-gun defences and arguments are.

Anti-gun guys, you go to give them credit. They never budge.

You can have someone go on a mass killing spree somehow killing 10,000 people in a stadium, and not one pro-gun guy will flinch.
The 10k stadium mass shooting is a figment of your imagination.

Should all guns be outlawed in your opinion? Do you think people like Hillary Clinton should be protected with armed guards?

If public officials can have armed guards, every citizen can be their own guard. We either ALL have the same rights/protections or NONE of us do.

Reminds me of some Hollywood celebs. They're against guns, but if they have to go to a public venue they will bring bodyguards who are packing lots of heat.

Its enough to make you wanna barf :puke:

Kimmel with his crocodile tears as his security guards are fully protected with guns. Fuck right off, all of you anti- 2A propagandists.

Bunch of hypocrites all while the NFL is taking a knee to protest cops, who are the same COPS, saving their lives every god damned day, even when they take a fucking knee. .

Makes me sick!

For all you crying about banning bump stocks, try again. You can MAKE ANYTHING FOR PENNIES or just use what you have at home. Simple belt loop or rubber band works perfectly!

Next up on the docket - We must ban rubber bands, NOW!!!

The motive is the target, the target is the motive.

I'll just leave this here.
Agreed, if you understand why a an entity was targeted, you will understand the motive,... much like Islamic terrorism.

You're probably right, they should just ban automatic weapons entirely.

Child molestation is also another piss poor example. Besides being morally wrong, the act of molesting a child is a crime....
That's exactly the point. They could easily make a law that makes possession of an oversized magazine a crime and prosecute offenders. Yes, it would be more like speeding in terms of seriousness of the crime but it would have an impact on all those 'law abiding gun owners'.

And the government could easily ban the sale of magazines capable of holding large amounts or easily modified to do so. It would not take much for gun makers to make a minor redesign to magazines and considering the US is the largest market they would have a huge incentive to do so.

As I've mentioned to you before, you need to do some research and learn about the issue before spewing out useless suggestions that have absolutely no merit.

Nobody wants magazine limits. The magazine manufacturers have NO incentive to make low capacity magazines. People WANT high capacity magazines. It's obvious you have no idea about the industry you want to put restrictions on because if you did, you'd know how much competition there is in the magazine industry. Restricting your magazine limits would put a company on the road to bankruptcy. As a result, magazine manufacturers also don't WANT to make low cap mags. It's also against their principles. Magpul pulled out of Colorado because of their magazine restriction legislation. The top cop in Colorado at the time the legislation was passed also said he would not enforce it.

Magazine limits have done absolutely nothing to curtail the level of shootings in Chicago. There's also no research to prove what a reasonable number of rounds are. I've also stated very early on that magazine limits are useless because all you need to do is have more magazines. Modern firearms are specifically designed for quick magazine changes. And if you bring up modifying guns so that mags are harder to change like the California rules, do some reading about how useless those rules are.

I'm surprised.

Unless I missed it, after every big shooting, some NRA representative will put up a brave defence and refute anyone wanting a crack down on guns.

Yet this time, no NRA rep.

So 8,000 out of 12,000 murders are gun related. No kidding. So easy to do.

Not surprisingly, knives are second and then everything else is a fraction.

I'd like to see a mass murderer go around trying to punch to death 20 people in 60 seconds.

The common point is guns kill people. The counter (which pro-gun guys will bring up) is that if you take away guns then all the killings will just go down the ladder to something else as a zero-sum game.

Take away 8,000 gun kills, and knives/blunt/other will just go back up 8,000.

I dunno, I think its pretty darned hard to kill 60 people and injure 500 with just a knife.
EAsier with a rental truck ask ISIS…when they Attack Nice, FRANCE! They killed over 60 dead!

Gang Violence Driving Force of Gun Violence

To hear gun control advocates speak, one would be led to believe that gun violence is a widespread problem whereby the mere existence of a gun is as much a problem as the person who intends to wield it. But the reality is that gun homicides are overwhelmingly tied to gang violence. In fact, a staggering 80% of gun homicides are gang-related. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), gang homicides accounted for roughly 8,900 of 11,100 gun murders in both 2010 and 2011. That means that there were just 2,200 non gang-related firearm murders in both years in a country of over 300 million people and 250 million guns.

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr61/nvsr61_06.pdf

Solve the problem of gang violence, and a huge chunk of the gun homicide and violence problem is solved.

The 2A is not negotiable!

Period!
