Terrible. Just terrible.

One silver lining if you can call it that is the people who stayed calm, protected others with their bodies and administered first aid with the clothes off their backs.

Such a horrible act of violence where too many innocent lives were lost and the lives of friends and family greatly affected. i wonder if the hotel will permanently close the room off to guests. There is such a morbid curiosity/fascination with things related to horrible acts. I hope they never reopen the room . It's not like they need the revenue from the room rental.

One friggin lunatic ruins things for others. Bullshit. Nothing wrong with guns in the hands of responsible owners.
Like saying pencils make spelling mistakes. Some ppl are just really ignorant and don't know what they hell their talking about.

To believe that someone who would shoot down 50 people wouldn't circumvent any gun law you pass is the height of delusion.

But that's not the narrative so.....

The setup was too perfect.

It was a coordinated effort by muslim terrorists and hard lefties.

The man in the hotel room was just their fall guy. Wake up sheeple!

No, but mass shootings are....

The way things are going they will be. Orlando was 49, now were at 59. When is gonna stop?
There's something like 350,000,000 people in the US. If you add up all the mass shootings, it's still a tiny number of people killed on injured...... probably like 0.0001%...... not accurate math but for sake of argument.

That sounds tiny. And it is.

BUT, what many people don't realize is that compared to other countries, gun killings and mass shootings are probably 10, 50 or 100x worse than other western countries. I don't know which country out there resembles the US the most.... probably Canada.... bu we got a fraction of rate of killings.

Now some people will say it has nothing to do with guns, and it's about drugs or social-eco means. Possibly. But guns play a part too. That's why there are so many gun deaths. It's a tool and just about every idiot can have one, or 10 like the Vegas killer.

To use an extreme example, we should all be allowed carry hand grenades. According to pro-gun users, grenades are safe. The only way they go off is if someone is an idiot or a crook.

Not to me. Idiots will detonate them. Crooks will too. But for the other 95% of people who are sound minded, all it takes is something that affects them (drugs, suicidal thoughts, disgruntled fired employee etc....) and suddenly that nice guy with a hand grenade is now a "don't give a shit about life anymore" guy with a hand grenade. Boom.

And just like guns, there will be accidental detonations. No different than every year some 6 year old US kid got hold of his dad gun when he was sleeping, didn't know better and shoots himself in the head. Again, no gun, no accidental death.

Like this POS CBS now EX -Vice President Hayley Geftman-Gold, who said after the shooting happened she that was “not even sympathetic” to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because “country music fans often are Republican,”?!

CBS fires vice president who said Vegas victims didn't deserve sympathy because country music fans 'often are Republican'
People like her are at the highest levels in media behind the scenes yet people here will claim no bias haha. They hold cold ugly, callous views of their fellow innocent citizens.

Horrible news. Same old routine, the politicians will again give their standard speeches but change the shooting location. Nothing is going to happen again, again, again, Won't matter if its 59 dead or 159. Chicken shit to change cuz it's their rights to carry guns yip, same old talk.

Horrible news.

Replace the word "gun" or "grenade" with the word "car" and see if your bullshit still makes any sense.

When nothing changed after Sandy Hook in 2012 when 25 kids, 5 and 6 year olds were massacred, I knew right then, America was not salvageable. politicians could not find the courage to change the gun laws because they were afraid of losing votes to the gun lobby. If they could not find anything in their hearts or minds to honour the murdered children and their broken families, then nothing will change.
America reaps the seeds they sow.

When you can check into a hotel in Vegas with 23 guns, some of them automatic, and 6,000 rounds of ammunition, .........

The right choice is to do nothing. Every time there is talk of changing the gun laws to make them more restrictive, Americans send gun sales through the roof. Obama was the greatest gun salesman in the history of the United States. Under Trump, who is pro gun, firearms, ammunition and firearm accessory manufacturers experienced steep declines. Some have even closed shop. Historic companies like Remington are on the verge of bankruptcy. All the manufacturers are offering rebates. Guns became the cheapest they had ever been in the last 50 years. It's called the Trump Slump.

It may seem counter intuitive, but that's what works in America.

The difference is that guns and grenades are meant to kill. Sure, Some people use them for target practice and goofing around, but many use to kill. A car can kill someone, but the intent is transportation first. Injuring or killing someone is at the bottom of the priority list..... for wackos who do want to use a car to run over people.

Just because a car can kill someone doesn't mean they are bad.

Almost everything in the world can be used to kill someone. The difference is a gun can rapidly mow people down (like the Vegas incident). A dude that somehow has 10 guns on him. On the other hand, another object like a toaster can kill too, but the intent is to make food. Not run around the house and bang someone on the head with it.
