https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Nevada Nevada has one of the most liberal states law for guns. Now up to 50 dead and over 200 injured.
From auto it sounds like it actually was an automatic weapon, if so, since possession of automatic weapons is quite strictly regulated in the U.S. a focus of the investigation will certainly be how and why he had access to the same.
The murderer was firing from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
You can easily convert a semi-automatic into a full-automatic if you know what you're doing.^ All true, however, the automatic weapons ban in the U.S. is federal, (laws passed in 1935 and 1986) law and possession and sale require permits from the ATF you cannot go into a gun shop and purchase a fully automatic weapon
Not that a person planning a mass shooting likely cares, but doing so is a federal crime carrying serious penalties. You can easily convert a semi-automatic into a full-automatic if you know what you're doing.
Cops are not calling it terrorism: https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/02/las-vegas-gunman-suspect-is-stephen-paddock-64-of-mesquite.html
WRONG!!!Not that a person planning a mass shooting likely cares, but doing so is a federal crime carrying serious penalties
Not an AR-15 (assuming thats what the shooter had). There's not a whole lot recoil with those, plus if you're firing into a huge crowd your shots dont have to be very accurateProbably not an automatic rifle. Shooting in auto is wildly inaccurate
They're saying It wasn't political or religious, the guy maybe snapped, went postal or disgruntled employee. He killed himself before cops got him. His girlfriend is black or looks black/asian, so I doubt he's a nazi. The question to be is, was the shooter a Neo Nazi?
Nothing is being changed. All politicians will do is debate, but in the end gun control laws will remain the same, so will the mass shootings.
I wonder if this will still be news in 3 weeks. This is such a common occurrence in the U.S now that some of these shootings barely make the news.Deadliest mass shootings in US since 1949:
