But for the media to label someone as a terrorist they have to be affiliated with some type of terror group (like ISIS, KKK...etc). Not that it really matters, but the correct term is "rampage killer":

Because terrorism is the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature, this guy so far sounds like he's crazy.
The people of USA have democratically decided that they want a society where someone can check into a hotel in Vegas with 10 (ten) semi- automatic rifles. They insists on it.
As long as they only shoot each other (33,000 a year), I am fine with their conscious choice.
Hate to say it, but I'm with you here. Americans seem to be totally paralyzed about doing something about the gun issue. They made the choice not to do anything about it so they have to live with the consequences.
What is more unsettling is the ATF literally has no idea on the number of guns/rifles/semi-automatics/etc out there.

Unless this guy had the fastest trigger finger on earth - the gunfire originated from a fully automatic weapon. His brother said he wasn't religious nor political and had no explanation why he did what he did. What he couldn't figure out was where his brother got the automatic assault guns from. He said his brother had a few pistols and maybe a long rifle but he doesn't know where the gun(s) used in the massacre came from.
