No, I mean every single alarm device (control panel, key pad, door sensors, glass break sensors, motion sensors, window pins, cameras, smoke detectors, pressure sensors, etc etc.) has an old school phone wire that home runs to the main alarm panel. The main panel connects to the land line with a cellular back up. It is not possible to arm, disarm, or monitor on any smart phone, or with a key fob. You set it when you leave with the key pad, and disarm it when you get home.
In short, it's not operating wirelessly in any manner. Everything has a wire.
Same with home computer networks, or televisions - everything is hugely superior (performance wise) when hard wired.
