I'm looking at purchasing a replacement Android phone, mine is over 4 years old and too outdated now. I was considering Samsung Galaxy S6, S7, S7Edge, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X. I'm not too interested in Google's Pixel but would like to hear about other Android enthusiasts as to their smartphone of choice.

I'm not looking for Apple products.

Currently using Samsung s6 & no issues. Takes great pictures, no issues with reception and speaker phone isn't bad at all. Only draw back is that the back cover cannot be removed, so that means no upgrading sd card.

I also loved my Samsung s5 before i upgraded.
Same as the s6 but waterproof which is really handy when its raining or snowing. Also it had the removable back cover so one could replace the battery and upgrade to a bigget sd card.

Note 4 Being able to remove the back plus SD card were the deciding factors

i want to get the moto z cos of its modular design but i was told the modular design direction was too complex or not in demand enough. i dont kno why. the google company also abandoned the modular design model direction of the arial modular phone. i dont kno why. apparently moto z model line is going to b abandoned. Still, i plan to pick up one or two models. kind of disappointed that they abandoned the modular direction.

xperia M4 aqua, cheap, good and waterproof. I may swap it for a Huawei Honor 6x next if I get bored. But it does everything perfectly.

I'm quite happy with the pixel. I would much rather the price point of the earlier nexus models but the phone lives up to the hype. Would have gotten the XL if I were to do it again.

I ended up getting a google pixel because I got a deal from work, but if it wouldn't have been for that I definitely would have gone with the S7. Great phone.

Been using an LG G3 for a couple of years and I like it.

Been using it since February.
I'm very happy with it. Fast, good size, battery is amazing and charges real quick with the included adapter.

Strong positive reviews almost everywhere.
