When I was a kid I very much enjoyed Sea Hunt with Lloyd Bridges. Became so fascinated with scuba diving that I took it up as an adult and it became one of my favorite pastimes. Wouldn't have happened without that show.
Number 1 for me would be Married With Children. Can remember watching that using rabbit ears to get the station out of Buffalo. Was hooked before most people heard of the show. Have the complete DVD collection though it isn't quite the same without ole Blue Eyes singing the theme song.
WKRP would be another one. Now that they have restored most of the music to the series I think I will grab the complete set. The elevator music they had on most of the DVDs was pretty sad.

Jeopardy. Been watching since the Art Flemming days. I have amassed a very large amount of useless information from my Jeopardy addiction.
Documentaries mostly. Connections, Cosmos, anything by David Attenborough. I enjoyed a lot of the stuff already mentioned, but for me fiction is strictly entertainment.
Connections is actual an older documentary series than Cosmos. Both were excellent.

I tried watching Girls but I couldn't get into it.
There was quite a buzz on this board about Alison Williams getting rimmed on the show. I watched 2.5 episodes and Williams character already had anal sex, seems that's the only way the character can get off.

I also enjoyed watching Biography. But then I realized it was only good stuff that was told about these people. Never anything bad. Probably A&E didn't want a lawsuit.
