I get around.
As Smallcock mentioned, government agencies also claimed Saddam had WMDs.

https://www.cia.gov/news-information/speeches-testimony/2004/tenet_georgetownspeech_02052004.html
"Let’s start with missile and other delivery systems for WMD. Our community said with high confidence that Saddam was continuing and expanding his missile programs contrary to UN resolutions"

Not just confidence, but HIGH confidence. lol

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/15/iraq-wmd-legacy-us-intelligence-iran_n_2883027.html
In the run-up to the invasion of Iraq 10 years ago, the CIA and other intelligence services confidently asserted that Saddam Hussein’s regime had stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction
From the article you posted;
Since that humiliating episode, the country’s 16 spy services have sought to bolster intelligence-gathering efforts around the world and added vetting procedures to their analysis to avoid any repeat of the Iraq experience, former CIA officials and analysts said.

“Lessons have been learned,” said Paul Pillar, a former senior CIA analyst who oversaw intelligence on the Middle East.

My only issue with the above statements and quotes by Matt is that despite the supposed improvements no one caught on to or cared about Hillary's private server, her receiving classified material into an unsecured and unvetted system, and her deletions of gov't information.

I don't know if it was incompetence or politics but someone in one of these agencies must have known and let it go.

Isn't part of their job to prevent security breaches? Even if it means telling the SOS she is wrong? And that wasn't 16 years ago. It was a lot less.

The night after the 3rd debate was the traditional Alfred E Smith dinner, where both candidates were supposed to lighten up and have a fun speech / mini-'roast' of each other.

Trump got booed after saying 'Tonight, Hillary is pretending to not hate Catholics" and again after trying to make some mean-spirited joke about her aid work in Haiti that totally backfired. It was brutal. He lost the crowd and never recovered. After the dinner (around 2:05 on the video), Hillary stayed and talked to everyone who wanted to come up and greet her. Trump and his trophy wife left as soon as possible.

Yup. Totally blew it. He doesn't know how to react and tell a good political joke. It's a lot more nuanced. He needs better writers as well.

His campaign workers went so far as to state that they didn't write his speech.
Even they were shocked.
The crowd really didn't look comfortable with him talking the way he did, Clinton has decades of those types of speeches and does so much better there.

There was no hack, it was an insider, whistleblower. Assange knows who this whistleblower is but will not release that information as he promised complete anonymity to all leakers and has never divulged any of his sources. Some believe it was "Seth Rich"- who at the of his death (murdered July/2016) was the Voter Expansion Data Director at the DNC, where he had been employed for two years and had helped develop a computer application that voters can use to locate polling stations.

Dont know how if this is true or not, but it is interesting.

Trump is a terrible debater and a complete clown. There were some very good points he could have made but FAILED.. and failed MISERABLY. I guess he went to Trump U so no surprise. Saying Putin has no respect for HRC? Is he too dumb to realize that is a PLUS for America?

He basically told the elites to their faces to go fuck themselves.

Hillary was way funnier though.

Tell us what those "very good points he could have made but failed" were?

Her responsibility for the mess in the middle east was one very good area to make hay. Receiving money from the Saudis while claiming to champion womans rights would be another....

The guy just does not know how to press the attack...watching his debates it is clear as day he cannot be bothered to prep.

The Director of National Intelligence disagrees with you. You appear to prefer to believe a Russian stooge.

For once we agree. Clinton is has a lot of baggage and thy economic fundamentals should favor a Republican challenger.

Trump just doesn't have what it takes, plus he has even more baggage of his own.

The puppet thing was hilarious. Clinton got right under his skin and he threw a temper tantrum on stage.

If the Russian stooge u are referring to is Julian Assange - he is Austrailian, not Russian, and nobody has every disputed anything leaked on Wikileaks.

He's working for the KGB, either wittingly or unwittingly. Either way he's a Russian stooge.

US intelligence agencies have uncovered the Russian plot to get Trump elected. No use denying it.

Thought he did. Didn't he said Hillary didn't know. That it could be Russia, China, or anyone.
On July 27th Trump appealed to Russia to hack into Clinton's emails. I guess you think that was appropriate as it was Trump doing the appealing.
The evidence is now almost certain as it points the finger at Russia. See the link below:

https://www.engadget.com/2016/10/21/evidence-ties-russia-to-podesta-and-powell-email-hacks/

By the way if you stood for President, in no uncertain terms you would have my vote (if I could vote) as you are far more articulate than Trump.

I didn't say Hillary should be DQ'd, and I also said her accusing (finger pointing) Trump is fine. My focus, and point was her doing it to the leader of Russia, and blaming Russia.
She is essentially building the foundation to alienate what should be a powerful ally. Its both dangerous and hardly a peaceful move.

The woman is a globalist, seeking amnesty , is threat to national security. Then you have Trump who is "not nice". Regardless how you see Trump for having an ego, calling someone fat or whatever, he clearly wants the best for America and has some very good ideas.
Did you mean that Putin's Russia should be an "ally". He has eliminated a number of his opponents and is a dictator just like Syria's Assad. His invasion of Crimea was one of the biggest Crimes outside the Middle East.

Could you please elaborate some of Trump's "good ideas", as all we hear is how he will make "America Great Again"? Did he mean make America a Great Comedy Act?

Every time I see,..."intelligence agencies",...brings a smile to my face.

Now Trump supporters are predicting a civil war if Trump loses. Shocking!! His supporters seem to buy that rhetoric that the American system is "rigged". He has managed to alienate even members of his own party. What a nutcase.
