I really hate the shift when runners are on base.

I am a stats/percentages thinker, but i am not a fan of that type of thinking.

Good game, 0.5 game out of 1st. Tomorrow, 1st place!

Padres trade Cashner and Rea to Marlins. They also traded away starters Shields and Pomeranz earlier. Traded away their stopper Rodney amd Upton Jr to us. Pretty much a AAA team rest of the way.

Ahright, so I have to give the man props, Chris Davis is a badass.

His hitting streak will come to a stop this week.
Why, because I said so, that's why!

Magic number is 61. Came down by 2 yesterday.

Not predicting, but how nice would a sweep be this weekend?

There seemed to be some intensity last. Wonder if there may be some nasty stuff next day or two.

good win...but the Baltimore bullpen did shut us down. Also....and this may be a first......the home plate umpire made some bad calls against the Orioles......I was sitting directly behind home plate...ya ya upper deck.......and we did give them a little league run......play better today and we are in first...note to Gibbons( don't rest regulars Sunday)

Why would Gibby rest his regular Sunday??

Jays just had a whole bunch of off-days

I knew that was a little subtle......remember last year when we clinched in Baltimore....he played no regulars in the second game.....

I have to address this silly rumour concerning Scherzer for Bautista...why would the Jays do the Expos a favour?

Like I said before there is no middle ground with Bautista, he's either loved or hated. And Bryce Harper digs Boob Bats. Jose may be the only player that the talented enfant terrible will listen two. And with Bautista on board, the Expos have a better chance of keeping Harper.

As for Scherzer, he's pitched for some very good Tigers teams and won nothing. Not a very good trade for the Jays.

7-1 after bat around 5th knocks out nemesis Gallardo. Happ doing his thing. Good game.

Re: Scherzer for Bautista rumour.
To reiterate Shi Davidi, any of the 29 ML GMs can pick up the phone and make an offer to the Jays. But doesn't mean it's gonna happen.
Especially a salary dump like $200m left on his contract is incredibly unlikely for Shapiro.

I think there's only 3 untouchables right now: JD, Sanchez and Osuna.

I almost took exception to the Boom Bats trade rumours, there's no accounting for leadership.

He risked getting tossed by challenging the called strike in the first inning. Afterwards the strike zone became rigid for Jays hitters. Jose next hr will be his career 300th.

Joe Biagini isn't well liked by his team-mates, his pre - game meal has too much garlic. Can't say I blame him, garlic makes you feel good...although I prefer adding anchovies to the sauce rather than Parmesan to the finished dish.

1st place! Sounds good.
Sanchez going for the sweep. Like our chances.
Sanchez going for 11 straight

Give Gibby credit getting the Jays ready for Baltimore

Everyone rested and best 3 pitchers on the mound

I don't think we need to make any more trades. If Benoit can do a Grilli 2.0 our bullpen will be pretty good. Especially now that it looks like Chavez has accepted the mop-up role

Indians get Lucroy and Andrew Miller. Going all in to win the year after Shapiro leaves. Not a good sign.
