Can anyone explain why cold Carrera is batting lead off while red hot Travis is batting 8th?
The only reason I can come up with is superstition. They are winning with him there and until Bautista gets back or they start to tank Gibbons will keep him there. Carrera has 10 count 'em 10 RBIs. He should, off his recent numbers be hitting 8th or 9th.

That's nice. So they can never have a pennant/playoff run without signing Price again? Does this apply to the Jays or the whole league. Price is the catalyst? How many WS rings does he have? One per year I would assume? Will they even bother to have playoffs once David retires? What did they do before David? Hope he plays forever, I like playoffs. They're fun and exciting.
Geeeez, busterhut, usually you contribute something worthwhile to the thread.
Repeatedly in the above post, you referred to the Priceoffs as Playoffs.

Shame on you.

All hail David Price.

I for one welcome our new David Price Overlord.

Troy Tulowitzki, since his return to the lineup is hitting .339
(entering tonight's play), killing rallies wherever he goes
Costanza, if other peoples posts bother you so much then why dont you just leave this forum??

I just thought Tulowitzki was having poor ABs and defense gaffs right up until the injury.
I think he has 7 errors this season but 6 of them were in a single two week stretch (approx.). I suspect that was probably partly his angst of hitting so poorly at that time carrying over onto the field.

Rus, where did I state that other people's posts bother me?

And, what's with the unsolicited advice?

You mad, bro?:peace:

Marco Estrada has been placed on the 15 Day D.L., he is expected
to make his scheduled start after the All Star Game.

Bo Schultz has been called up from Buffalo to replace him on the active roster.

I used to think the same.. Shack too. But they key is getting to know them better. In the end, you'll find neither are cynical or condescending, they just tend to be very good with stats, and facts.

See them as our own version of Buck and Pat and its all good.
Very kind words, thank you Kathleen.

But Pat & Buck?

I'd prefer a Dan Shulman reference.

"Some people are polite with stats and facts,
some people are rude with stats and facts."
Does the block function still work on terb?
If so, feel free to use it.
This is applicable to anyone who doesn't want to read my posts.

For those who like to criticize & bash R. A. Dickey, since May 1, his e.r.a. is 3.04 .

Tabler just said Stro's slump was because of mechanics issues that he has since resolved.

And as I type this Saunders hits a homerun :applouse:

Stro looks like a different pitcher than he was in June. Welcome back Real Stro.

BTW does anyone want to discuss spin rates? LMK and I can start a separate thread.

Does anyone want to discuss how people on TERB felt stroman should have been sent down to AAA or to the pen?

Luckily the upper brass for the blue Jays don't take the advice from TERB GM's

I'm just glad we didn't forfeit the game tonight. I hate it when professional baseball teams forfeit games.

I like RAD but are you suggesting he doesn't deserve criticism for his 3rd consecutive crappy April?

Just say his ERA is 3.04 since May.

Love the KC sweep to extend the win streak to 5. Needed that after scuffling 4-8 when JB injured his toe. Looks like the hitting and pitching are coming together.
Too bad that Estrada is going on the DL, we need him for the stretch run.

Sure thing, if Stro had continued his slump for the rest of the season, he most likely wouldve been sent down to AAA for a short time to work things out. This has happened to many great pitchers, and doesnt always destroy someones confidence like others suggested.

But likely they found the source of his problems, it was simple mechanics and thats easily fixable.
I'm just happy we have our boy back :applouse:

AK, being gone for a while you kind of missed the boat on this.

The key to your statement was if he had of "continued to slump". If the TERB GM's had there way, he would have already been in AAA or in the bull-pen.
