Daenerys would be Jon's aunt - presumably Rhaegar is Jon's father, and Rhaegar was Daenerys's older brother.
I going off the theory that R+L, produced twins. It's a long shot, and probably certainly won't be in the show. I just think that R+L=J, is too easy and something more is going on.

Wouldn't it be nice if Jamie and his Lannister men slaughter the Frey's tonight, and Jamie secretly does this to avenge Catelyn Stark.

From tonight's episode

What could or what I think will happen.

-Cersei lets wildfire loose, and someone major dies, Tommen maybe?

-Sansa might be pregnant w/ Ramsey's baby(not likely).

-I thought Davos was going to kill Melisandre last episode, so Jon will kick her out of Winterfell.

-Littlefinger continues to influence Sansa against Jon.

-Bran learns or sees the rest of the Tower of Joy story. Wouldn't it be great if Jon and Dany were brother and sister.

-Someone kills Waldor Frey, probably Arya not LSH.

-Night King reaches the wall.

-Varys shows up in Dorne

-Dany sets sail for Westeros
I am going to pat myself on the back, I was pretty much spot on. I am going to miss the High sparrow, his arrogance killed everyone there. I did feel bad for Margaery, she knew something wasn't right.

A Jaime vs. Jon Snow showdown would be awesome. The Lanisters need to be overthrown once and for all. Their house is very weak at the moment, next season will most likely be the last nail in their coffin.
The showdown is likely gonna be between Dany and Jon, Jamie does not really care for power/ruling. Jamie's beef is now with Cersei and that will likely fulfill the the prophecy, the Volonqar!

Jon is already getting a lot of support and if it's finally revealed to everyone, including Dany that he is Rhaegars son, then that puts him ahead of her as the one to inherit the throne. She's believed she is destined to rule and the Throne is hers, will she step aside for Jon?

Another possibility would be for Dany and Jon to marry each other, as the Targaryans have traditionally married each other to keep the bloodline pure. They are both single and have no love interests now. In the last episode Dany was talking about seeking a marriage for political convenience. That would unite the North with Dany's forces.

Or perhaps Dany will get killed, and her dragons will obey Jon, who would be the only Targaryan left, and Jon will win the Iron Throne by himself. The appeal of that plot twist would be that because everyone is expecting Dany to win the game of thrones, it would make the storyline a lot less predictable.

That could happen, but even with the marriage Jon would still hold the title as ruler, she would just be his Queen. She's built herself up as the rightful ruler and Queen and answering to no one, she is still going to be second fiddle if they marry because people will still view Jon as the rightful heir, which he is.

It could happen with Jon taking over the Dragons. There is also the popular belief that Bran will at some point warg them.

I do believe that was the most epic show I've ever seen! :hail:

So, uh...Varys really gets around, huh? One moment he's in Meereen, the next he's in Dorne on the other side of the world. Then he still somehow finds himself sailing towards said side of the world with Daenarys.
Arya likewise can defy time it seems.

After Cersei said to burn Tommen, I was 50/50 on whether she was going to join him on the pyre or seize power. Guess I underestimated her lust for the latter! That's scary as hell, as evidenced by Jaime's look.

I think the power players for the final showdown are becoming clearer.

She reminds me of the character of Gaius Octavian in the HBO series ROME. (Now there's a show I fucking miss.)

Octavian never ceased to amaze me how he would just say it like it was, he told people the plain truth and didn't mince words

cersei didn't say to burn tommen - he leapt to his death on his own accord?

i thought the same about varys lol what was that all about?

does anyone not think it's weird that jon doesn't have the typical targarayan features?

i still really want baelish to take over everything because he is the one who caused basically all the plotlines in the story to happen.
She said to burn the remains.

She said to burn the remains.
Yep, this is what I meant. It was quite obvious she cared for her children, despite her many other faults. So I thought perhaps she's join her dead son on a pyre of flaming green "pig shit". I mean, she's the new Mad King, is she not? That's a totally Mad King thing to do!

As far as I can tell, she's incredibly outnumbered though. All she has is the Lannisters and several lesser houses. On the flip side, Dany has her tens of thousands of Dothraki, thousands of Unsullied, three dragons, and two great houses from Westeros: the Martells and the Tyrells. Two houses that absolutely hate each other in the books, by the way.

How can Cersei stand against that? Unless King Euron Greyjoy (and his thousand ships) decides to scrap his marrying Dany idea and instead side with the new Mad Queen. That would at least make it interesting.

Not to mention the alliance of the North and the Vale, who aren't exactly friendly with the Lannisters...though they have their own distractions up north.

I don't think she is the new mad king. In fact in one fell swoop she wiped out a great deal of trash. The entire sparrow movement, GONE..fuck them. She cleaned the slate. But forces are really building against the Lannsiters. Dorne, Tyrell, Starks, and the Dragon Queen, all gunning for them. Any of the 4 would be difficult. All 4 OMG. Then there is the hound and the Brothers movement..

OF course she is. She just murdered hundreds, possibly thousands of the kingdom's loyal subjects in order to "take out the trash". (trash that she put in power herself) But don't believe me, and don't believe the look in Jamie's eyes when he sees her afterwards, just go back a few episodes and watch Bran's decades-spanning vision. He sees the mad king shout "burn them all!" and the next scene is the catacombs under the Sept going all-assplody with Cersei's wildfire. Can't get much more direct a comparison than that now, can we.

The real question is not whether she is the new mad king. (she is). The real question is whether she is a Romulan. (she is)

Rhaegar was the brother of the King, so Daenarys's is still ahead of Jon in the line is succession. She is also legitimate while he, even if the son of Rhaegar, is still a bastard.

Maybe we will see an alliance between Jon and Daenarys's. She was willing to give the Iron island independence. She may be OK with a King in the North so long as she gets the Iron throne. A Stark in the North and a Targaryon in the South would restore the original balance that the rebellion upset.

Plus there are THREE dragons, and so far, only one rider. Jin may be a second rider. Question is, who will be the third? Or maybe one of the dragons will die. Or Bran will war it. Or maybe dragons don't always need riders. But supposedly they should have.

Rhaegar was Daenarys's elder brother, not the brother of the king.

Rhaegar was the heir .

Jon is the son of Rhaegar (presumably) with Lyanna Stark.. Rhaegar was married to Ellia Martel and they had 2 children, and theirs was not a happy marriage. It has not been revealed the circumstances of his fathering a child with Lyanna Stark.

If Jon was legitimate, his claim to the iron throne would be absolute. It remains to be seen if Jon was indeed legitimate. (I suspect Samwell will prove to be the key to that.)

As to the third rider, that would be Tyrion as he is most likely the product of an affair between king Aerys 2 and Tywin Lannister 's wife

Yeah, about that...I was very surprised how easily she gave that up. Not exactly sure how it works though. Would Yara still be subject to Daenarys' rule, same as the deal Renly worked out with Catelyn for Robb way back in season 2? Or would they be a truly separate kingdom?

Seems the Varys/Littlefinger scale is really tipping in Varys' favour. He's managed to unite the Dragon Queen and her massive armies/fleet, Dorne and Highgarden. Littlefinger only has a tentative grasp on the Vale, is owed a favour by the North, and has failed repeatedly in his quest for Sansa's hand.

Well if she IS the new mad king....what will the King Slayer do? hmmmmmm. He has already been thrusting one sword into her, why not another.

Little finger kinda failed. He said the north would not pledge to Jon Snow, and he was proven completely wrong, with some help form Lady Mormont. What a great addition that spark plug is, I hope they write her into a lot more scenes.

Well, if she is Romulan then she wins, a single warbird will lay waste to the seven kingdoms and the dragons with ease
