We win the slugfest even giving 7 solo HR's! Edwing has another 4RBIs for 66 to extend his AL lead. He is streaky but if he puts up a big RBI number, he could be looking at a $100m+ on the FA market.

Gavin Floyd may have pitched his last game in the majors. Did not look good asking for the trainer.

Sunday is best against the worst: Sale is the leading candidate for CY while Stroman has been the worst pitcher over the past month. On paper, it's a mismatch, but that's why they play on the field.

Wish we had beaten that no name pitcher last night with a terrible career WHIP of 1.46.

David price got brutalized to-night. 6 runs allowed in 3 innings. Maybe that is why the Tigers and Jays let him go?

What are you talking about Rocky?
Before last night's debacle, he had 8 straight quality starts (you can google that).
No, the Jays and Tigers just did not think he was worth $217mil. That's all.

David Price
"2016: 8-4 (6th), 4.68 ERA, 110 SO (1st),Career: 112-60, 3.19 ERA, 1482 SO, P, 2012"
I don't care what anybody says. A 4.68 ERA is way too high for a $200 million pitcher.

Marcus Stroman
2016: 6-3, 5.23 ERA,
And we are paying nowhere near $200 million for Stroman.

It's great that EE is leading MLB in RBI's. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. However, I think I heard one of the TV guys say EE is also leading the league (MLB?) in stranding runners on base.

Yes, but human toes haven't evolve that much since 1989. Anyways, let's hope Bautista's season or career is not over.
I think his toe hit the fence when he went back on a fly

holy fuck dude....do you read???
Yes, I read your post about blue chip prospect, great stuff and no control. The minors are filled with them.
Now did you read up on what is a WHIP of 1.46? I'll give you a hint, it sucks and indicates he is a below average pitcher.

Before we entered Chicago on friday, our best chance to take 2 of 3 from this mediocre team was to beat Rodon and Gonzalez since Sale is pitching Sunday. Right now, it doesn't look good, faliing 4 games behind Bal.

That JB foot injury sounds bad, he may return only as DH for rest of the season. EE better get used to his 1B glove.

Also, irrespective of W/L vs Sale, if Stroman does not pitch 6 IP w 3ER or less today, I guessing there will be changes. DHutch is likely coming up this week anyways for a spot start.

Lets say you're right about busterhut, how would you know if gcostanza =/= shack??
Simple math. Which explains why I have to explain it to you.

You said gcostanza=shack=busterhut. If I know that busterhut is not shack or gcostanza, then the whole statement is incorrect. Not the first time, either LOL

It would only be partially incorrect. But you didnt use the word 'partially', therefore you fail again

I really don't know what to do with Stroman now.
Send him to the pen?? Ship him off to AAA for a while??

4 runs and 4 walks over 5 innings simply isnt good enough

for starters, the minors is far from filled with guys like Carlos Rodon. He was drafted 3rd over all. Throw the stats out the window. As I already told you, his WHIP is high cause he's had some control problems in his young career. If you think Carlos Rodon is a no name pitcher, you have no idea what your talking about, and I can't believe you follow baseball as close as someone that's posts the way you do.

Can you explain to me why you send him to triple AAA or put him in the pen????
Maybe an improvement over recent outings. Dickey and Stroman playing like OK 4 and 5 pitchers in the line-up. Of course Stroman nowhere near being the ace right now but others have stepped up.

They were never going to beat Sale.

the chances of beating Sale were very slim, and yes Stroman hasn't been very good of late, but to suggest they he gets sent to AAA or moved to the pen is completely outlandish. I read this kind of stuff and it makes me laugh.

If you watched Zauno's postgame commentary last night he suggested a (temporary) AAA move was the right move for Stroman.

Let him work some stuff out down in Buffalo, cause he's clearly losing it

Can you explain to me why you send him to triple AAA or put him in the pen????
What would you do with him then?? Leave him as a starter??
He's clearly becoming a liability now
