The anger over this article reminds me of the anger a homophobe has about gays. Seems to stem mostly from hitting too close to home (and having a Trumpian level of thin skin).

I'm atheist, I think all religions are stupid.
But really, Muslims don't seem any worse the Christians, both historically and present day.

Most Muslims I know aren't much different from the more devout Christians I know, and while I personally think there beliefs are stupid, they should feel free to believe in the invisible person of their choice without someone like Trump trying to ban them all from entering a country.

And here we are still talking about the ad and racism.

Co-workers said he cheered and clapped at the news, and said he thought it was too bad the shooter didn’t kill everyone he shot.

He is also reported to have said that his his religion did not permit or approve of homosexuality.

It is a bizarre fantasy land that these people inhabit.

I have no problems with Muslims coming as I mentioned before but I'd rather have those who cheer on the largest mass shooter in US history not be allowed in. Ironically, the Orlando Islamic terrorist cheered when the planes flew into the twin towers.

Who knows, maybe our Lachine friend has a bright future ahead of him?

When a society attempts to allow for the accommodations of the beliefs and practices of everyone including groups who themselves are intolerant, racist and non accommodating then results like this ad occur. Politicians think that they can suck and blow at the same time. Yet Toronto continues to be said to be one of the most desirable places to live.

Ok, there are lots of issues with Islam and its interpretations, just as there are lots of issues with Christianity and its interpretations.
I'd rather there be no religions at all, but people should also be free to believe what they believe.
Demonizing all Muslims however isn't an attack on a religion, its racism.
The Star said it well this morning:
