It's very unlikely that they will learn bunting at this level if they don't know it already. Basic skills should be taught at lower levels, the American League is not a development league
Thats like saying they learned hitting at the lower levels, and therefore they shouldnt bother taking batting practice every day. Clearly you know nothing, I've been to pre-game warmups and seen Blue Jays take bunting practice before games

No, it's on the hitters. Unless Gibby perhaps has some sort of message like "basehit will do, but why not try to jack one into the third deck for us"
Which was exactly my point. Gibby should be instructing batters on deck and in the hole situational hitting if they're not doing it by themselves. Phil from TP was spot on, hitters are swinging too much for the fences

Like Cito. No wonder he never won
Maybe that was a case of the blue Jays back then knew their roles as situational hitters, and didnt need reminding from Cito

Actually, the correct statement would be "he never reprimands them publicly when AK47 thinks they need it"
Exactly busternut. Now you're getting it :thumb:

Nice touch of purple font btw. Your favourite colour??

The Phillies were struggling 3-14 in the past few weeks. So maybe they were due for a win. Shakey Stroman this aft so hope the batters regain their groove.

Yeah, Barney is hot so ride him until he isn't. It looks like they may have rushed back Travis. But there's no rushing back Tulo. He's makes $20mil so he is entitled to collect his paycheck sitting out with a sore quad :(
All they talk about on 590 is how Barney is going to prove that he is just a bench player eventually. They should be giving this guy every chance in the world. For a team that has been built on late bloomers and giving chances to guys... I'm surprised at the journalist attitude towards Barney. Maybe the guy figured something out with his ability like four other every day players did. Make that 5 everyday players if Collobello didn't get suspended. That's half their lineup of late bloomers and guys that finally figured it out.

Do you think shack got to 20k posts all with meaningful content? or trolling?
Definitely a lot of trolling. I dont mind a troll so long as they make me laugh, but shack is just a boring, tedious, redundant troll who bores most people. He needs to step up his game

You nailed it. He is just boring and tedious. Write something interesting once in a while instead of just putting down everyone else.

Wilmer is the worst. Just an apologist for management. They were sceptical of Estrada last year as well. Now they fawn over him.

I don't see any down side to riding the hot hand to give us the best chance to win.

Is Wilmer that guy in the morning that sounds like Mike Bullard?

Wilner is the guy who has the fan phone-in calls right after Blue Jay games on AM590.
Georgie is sorta right, he does come across as a bit condescending to people who call in.

True story: I called in drunk once and they put me on the air :D

Oh that guy. He's OK. A little too hunky-dory to give you the hard facts. He's quite lofty after a Jays win. Lol. I've tried to call on three different occassions now and I couldn't get through. I was trying to inquire about something I heard during a televised broadcast over a month ago. Buck Martinez reported offers for contract extensions for Jose and Edwin. Then poof!!! We never hear of this again.

HHhmmmm......I'm not sure I trust Loopy with an 11-2 lead.

A 15-2 lead maybe, but not an 11-2 lead

EE is actually my pick to lead the AL in RBIs. He's still hasn't got going yet with OPS of only .750 while he has been averaging .920 over the past 5 years. Given that Ortiz and the Bosox can't continue at their pace and the Jays and EE can't stay this weak on O, he should be the leader by seasons end.
I predicted EE would take the lead by end of season but he got hot after that walk off so now he is already leading MLB. There will be back and forth but he and the Jays look to be rounding form.

Nice to see the big bats are awake today.
Edwing has been scorching. Now we got to get Joey Bats going. I'm getting tired of all his pop ups. I get he wants to mash the ball every time he's at the plate but sometimes a nice easy swing works wonders. Like in golf.
