Makes sense, as the Americans fear the type of policies that would be implemented by Trump and the global implications associated with his rhetoric slants at various groups and nations.
Makes sense, but way too early. I'm not so sure too many Americans would care about the global implications.

This is where the world is wrong. Many Americans don't care about what the world thinks. This poll, as do any that show Trump in the lead, mean nothing at this point. He took a hit over Trump U. It will pass.

Just like Clinton will take a big hit once she gets interviewed by the FBI. And if the Democratic convention turns into a shitshow.

Still 5 months left in the campaign. Lots of time for things to crop up.

It's way too early to be polling. Several things will change between now and when it matters:

1. Clinton is still fighting primaries which means she's regularly being attacked by her own party, the party will unite behind the nominee when primaries are over. The loser is likely to come out in support of the winner. This will presumably boost Clinton's numbers.

2. Trump has no campaign organization to speak of at a national level. He will start building one now and while he is way behind on that, there will be one in place by election day. This will presumably boost Trump's numbers.

3. A lot of unforeseen issues are going to come up, the economy, foreign policy events, that will have unpredictable impact on how people see the election

It's impossible at this point to know how those things will impact the polls.

The Trump University scandal still has a long way to go and the damage has only just begun:

The responsible Americans worry about the catastrophic effect of what the world actually thinks about Trump's effect on them and businesses in general.

Kathleen Meese is still paying off credit card debt she ran up in 2009, to pay for classes at Trump University. She was told the classes would make her a real estate millionaire.

...worried it would strain her finances and could hinder her care for her son, who has Down’s syndrome, a Trump instructor told her she “had to sign up” to help her family, court documents show.

... Meese and others ... claim they paid for opportunity and were promised success.
I think Kathleen Meese also has Down Syndrome, not just her son.

But as we've seen here with Rob Ford, right wingers don't care about honesty, crack smoking, fraudulent universities or racism.
As long as you can say you're anti-establishment (even if you are an rich, entitled old white guy) and anti-taxes you can get away with almost anything.

Between Trump and Clinton, I'd vote Clinton because I'm not a moron. Having said that, I think she's an awful candidate.. If it were between McCain and Clinton, or Rubio and Clinton, or any number of "fantasy match-ups", I think I'd be hard pressed to vote Clinton.

Everyone I meet here in the US , whichever party they support, has the same comment: 320 million Americans, and these two are the best the country could come up with?????

Problem is, why the hell would any sane person want to have a job were it is impossible to achieve anything, the US is no more manageable than any other fucked up European welfare country.

Not discounting the state of the poor in the US, some areas are no better than 3rd world countries, but the Pentagon/war machine is untouchable.

With the US going bankrupt trying to stimulate an economy and still maintaining the Pentagon/war machine, NOT going to happen.

If anybody thinks Trump thought he had a snow balls change of getting this far when he started, I have a bridge and some slightly damp land in the US south for sale.

The guy must be laughing his ass off every fricken day.

Give some real thought to Governor Gary Johnson and Governor Bill Weld. If Trump is not really a Republican, Johnson and Weld are far from the stereotypical Libertarians.

I think Trump would be more effective as a private citizen able to freely speak his mind and hold the president's feet to the fire.

In your typical bipolar rants, this one takes the cake.....which is it that makes the US unmanageable?...the welfare state or the industrial /military complex?.....at least you didnt blame teachers for the lack of credible Prez candidates, something that Larue would do

He's been a private citizen, speaking his mind freely, for over 70 years. Individual private citizens are largely ineffective in politics.
